The housefolk said something with a cheerful tone.

"What do you mean?" Celestia meowed as it lowered her to the ground.

Adder and Venom were already in the monster, also known as a car, and ready to go.

But the twoleg was not allowing Celestia to tag along.

Frustrated, Adder called out, "All right, dear, you stay here and we'll come back with others!"

Celestia sat at the playground that night. A pale figure stalked through the moonlight, her lithe form something attractive to most, if not all, toms.

"Queenie," Celestia greeted her, "Aren't your housefolk worried?"

The Egyptian Mau sat beside the pure white she-cat and she explained, "They are, but I wanted to thank you."

"What for?"

"For watching over my kittens."

Their eyes met and Celestia could tell it meant the world to Queenie. As if, her heart would not beat if not for her kittens.

"But of course!" Celestia purred.

Queenie purred back, "You will make a fine mother!"

Purr catching in her throat, Celestia's eyes widened, "What?"

Queenie happily responded in a hushed tone, "Oh, we all know about you and Venom!"

"N-no," Celestia stammered, "That can't be right." After a pause, she added, "I can't have kittens."

Queenie swished her tail, "Oh darling, that's what all the young queens say!"

And with that, the silver speckled she-cat turned and trotted into the darkness, back to her home.

Celestia watched as she faded into the shade like a shadow meeting the sun's rays.

"Luna?"

"Celestia?"

"Why do I feel weird?"

A purr, "Something is growing inside of you."

"What?" She sounded sick, didn't feel much better.

"The most amazing thing these cats have ever known."

Two moons had passed since Venom and Adder went on their adventure.

Celestia was laying in her bed, she hadn't felt like getting up this day. She knew there was something wrong with her, but she wasn't sure what. A nagging thought kept repeating the word "kits" but she knew that couldn't be.

That is, until she felt a pressure surging in the lower half of her body. She moved carefully to lick herself and found a little heap of cinnamon and white fur.

"Luna!" she wailed and then grabbed the kitten, licking him instinctively until he yowled.

The priestess soon arrived at Celestia's side.

"Oh it is time!" Luna declared.

"I can't have kittens!" Celestia uttered.

Luna nodded, "Why of course you can! Don't forget who you are!"

"I'm a priestess!" With the last syllable another kitten came. Luna took her and scraped her tongue over black and white fur.

Then, Luna told her, "You are the greatest of priestesses; Adder and I know it, and you have seen glimpses of yourself!"

A new word appeared in Celestia's mind.

She shook her head, "I can't be."

Luna purred, "You are."

The brother and sister meowed in unison, they meowed in a primitive form, the way ancient cats once did. The way cats through the ages called as they circled the Goddess Pool, crying out and praying to no other than the glorious Lady, Goddess herself.

Celestia looked at her kittens as they snuggled against her now and suckled.

She was here to answer their cries.

She was here for all cats.

She was...

Goddess.
