So...this is their father? He's scary!
Yui looked over at the long white haired man sitting clamly, flipping through what seemed to be the triplets' report cards. Why reports cards today? Isn't it a family dinner? Yui thought to herself.
"Kanato." Almost immediately, Kanato sat up straight and looked at him. "Yes,Father?" KarlHeinz just hummed as he tossed him back his report card. "You did well." He reverted back to Laito. "Laito my boy, why are your grades dropping? Weren't you excellent in literature and drama?"
Laito just smiled. "I've been busy giving girls....certain lessons,Father." Karl just shook his head as he directed his attention to Ayato. Before he could even open his mouth, Ayato snatched his card away from him. "Yes, I know. I failed every subject. And Yours Truly doesn't give two crap about that. Don't just come suddenly and act like a responsible father, you old man." He stormed upstairs.
Yui wanted to go after him. Just as she got up, "You. How are your studies going?" Karl asked. Yui flinched at his tone. It's like he's judging me...
She squared her shoulders. "I've been getting straight A's for this whole semester, Sir." Karl nodded. "So.. Why are you after my son? Is it wealth? Or do you feel something for him?" Yui stiffened. Why does everyone think I'm after Ayato? I mean, I like him but...
She shook her head. "I'm not a money-crazed bitch." And went upstairs, ignoring Laito's suggestive signs. Yui found Ayato on the balcony in his room.
She slowly tiptoed over to him. "Hey."
Ayato cast a side glance at her. "Why are you here?" "I...." Yui trailed off. Why did she come after Ayato? She likes him, but what does he feel? She had no idea. Wordlessly, she stepped closer to him and wrapped her arms around him.
"It's..it'll be okay. I don't know what you are going through, but I can be your helping hand." She offered, tightening her arms around him. Ayato stiffened. Slowly, he hugged her back, putting his head on hers. "I...I was always forced to study back when I was a child. I never got any parental love. This man, he was never in my life. My mom was a whore, she was never home. Every night, she used to abuse us. Now if they think they can suddenly-"
Yui sushed him. She reached one of her hand and began stroking his hair. "Ssshhh..it's alright. I'm here." Ayato raised his head and looked at her. He leaned close. "Thanks...Yui." Her heart skipped as he said her name. She leaned to him too. Just as their lips were about to touch..
"Ah... so this is where you two were." Ayato and Yui sprang apart, probably two metre apart. Laito stood near the doorway, whistling. "Laito..what are you doing here?" Ayato asked, more likely growled. "Aren't you hungry?" He raised an eyebrow. "Take her and come downstairs."
Ayato rubbed a hand behind his head as he grabbed her hand. "Let's go."
Yui followed him with a red face, her heart beating faster than ever.
