The next morning, Yui had woken up with a red face and a headache. No, it wasn't because she was hungover or anything. Yui's headache was due to the loud blasting noise coming from downstairs. As for her red face, it was because she suddenly remembered last night's events.
She pushed her face into the pillow, squealing like a giddy schoolgirl. Ayato was about to kiss her yesterday! She was ecstatic. "You should stop kissing the pillow and get out." Yui screamed as she heard the voice. She took her face out of the pillow and faced the person. "Kou! That was rude.."
"That was rude?? Rude is that you forgot what day it is today!" Kou snapped, his hands failing to give emphasis. "What? What is it today?" Yui asked, rubbing her eyes.
Kou sighed. "For one, school starts from today. And the second, and most important thing!- YOUR CLASS HAS A TRANSFER STUDENT TODAY!"He shrieked like a little girl.
"Yeah...so?"
Kou stared at her. Yui stared back."...."
"....""... you have no idea who's transferring, right?" Kou sighed.

The chattering seemed to grow each passing minute as Yui slumped down on her desk, already exhausted. 'And the day is just beginning...' She thought. Someone poked her back.
"Yo, Chichinashi." Ayato grinned as he flopped in his seat, right beside hers. Yui blushed as she looked at him. "Hi!" She managed to chirp out.
"Do you know we have a transfer student today?" Yui asked.
"Haaaah?"
Whatever Yui was going to answer was cut off by the loud bell ringing, signalling homeroom was about to start. She quickly turned in her seat and faced the front. Ayato 'tch'ed softly but did the same nonetheless.
Their homeroom teacher, Ms.Aoi, was a beautiful woman in her 30s, with dark brown hair tied into a prim and proper bun atop her head. She had dark green eyes concealed beneath blue rimmed glasses.
"Good morning, class." She flashed them a kind smile.
Ms.Aoi was known for her intense love of mischief and she liked to drag things on for a while. This time, however, she seemed to be in a hurry.
"We have a new transfer student today. Could you please come in?"
Yui immediately straightened up and strained her eyes at the door. A quiet shuffling of foot and pushing open the door later, a boy emerged. He wasn't much taller than Ayato, maybe one or two inches taller, and he had snow white, almost silver hair falling over his eyes.
His eyes though...
Yui found herself getting lost in those impossibly deep ruby red eyes. Somehow he seemed familiar. Way too familiar.
Her doubts ceased away at once when the boy's eyes found hers from across the room and he softly called her out.
"...S-subaru?"
