Chapter 16 - For Just One Day, Let's Only Think About Love

[Y/N]'s POV

"What did you do?" Momoko asks me. A few days had passed after the New Years Tournament, Jyugo was brought to the underground cellar and integrates me in a private room. Hajime, Kiji, Samon, Kenshiro and Momoko were the only ones in the room.

"I don't know if you heard about this but, Jyugo has been looking for this man who had a scar on his neck. Because of that man, he has been living in hell not knowing how to take off the shackles along with Musashi and the pyro powers. I have been close with Jyugo when he was young so it possibly could be that my voice helped him." I answer truthfully.

"That doesn't help us much but the thing you say about the man with a scar could mean something else. We will look into this man and find something about him. Anyways, thank you and you are dismissed." Momoko said. "I am sorry to ask but is it possible that I can see Jyugo?" I ask.

"Hajime go down and help her." "Yes, ma'am. Let's go [L/N]." Hajime saluted and guided me down to the underground cells. After going through some security we stand in front of Jyugo's cell. "Jyugo you there?" I ask being worried.

"[Y/N]..." "How are you feeling?" I ask. "Dead I guess." He chuckles. "I'm sorry that I wasn't there for you... I know how hard it was but I just hope that it's not affecting you." I said. "You prevented further more damage so don't think that you weren't there for me. I'm glad that you work here [Y/N]..." Jyugo muttering the last part.

"Hey, by the time you get out of here, we'll throw a party for your release okay?" Jyugo chuckles. "I'll be waiting then." "You done?" Hajime asks and I nod. "Oh and [Y/N]!" Jyugo yells. "What is it?" I ask. "The letter Uno got was from his ex saying that she got married."

Oh, that's right, I'm was supposed to be mad at him... "Thanks Jyugo, I'll see you later." I turn around and head my way back to Building 13 with Hajime. As we arrive at HQ, Seitaro runs to us. "HAJIME-SAN AND [Y/N]-SAN! Cell 13 bullied me again!" Seitaro whines. Hajime sighs as he is already used to Seitaro's complaints.

"[L/N], why don't you go check upon them?" Hajime asks me. "Not to offend you but I think you should also go Hajime-san," I said. "Why?" "What else? They are probably spooked from the tournament. Especially you trying to stop their best cellmate." Hajime gives in and sighs.

"Fine, well let's go." I nod and we both walk towards the infamous cell 13. As we open the cell door, Nico run to tackle me to the ground. "[Y/N] ARE YOU OKAY?! DID THEY INTERAGTE TO HARSHLY?!" I usher Nico to get off of me and I sat up chuckling at Nico's behaviour. "I'm fine, and the interrogation wasn't that bad," I answer.

"That's good!" Rock cheers and Uno avoids the whole interaction. "Alright, you probably, haven't received the news but Building 13 won the New Years Tournament." Hajime clears his throat. "Which also means that you will be making your wish to what you want. But remember, getting out of Nanba Prison is not a wish."

"Wait so you're saying that I can a gaming system!?" Nico shouts with glee and Hajime sighs. "We'll have to see." "What about a stone oven?!" Rock asks. "I'll see about that too?" At that point, Hajime seems to be irritated.

"[Y/N], can I talk to you?" Uno asks me and I nod. We walk to a corner of the cell so no one can hear our conversation. "[Y/N], I just want to say sorry for everything. I didn't realize how much of a dick I was and I- " I cut him off.

"Its okay Uno. I knew it wasn't my place to judge you immediately. And I guess I got my emotions to me." I chuckle looking up to his face where my eyes met his glossy cyan eyes. "Are you okay?" I ask. Tears were falling from his eyes.

"I don't feel like I ever deserve you [Y/N]... You are such an amazing person and would be better dating someone than me who is nothing but a criminal at the end of the day." The tears kept flowing from his eyes and I place both of my hands on his cheeks, making him look at me. "No don't make yourself worthless Uno. You are worth more than that. Sure you had a lot of relationships in the past, but that doesn't change the fact who you are right now. The Uno I have fallen in love with."

Uno place one of his hands on top of mine and smiles. "Thank you [Y/N]..." "No I should be thanking you, Uno. For making me feel important and having you as a boyfriend." I smile as I wipe the tears off of Uno's face. "Gosh, I probably look ugly right now." Uno sniffles.

I give him a handkerchief and a peck on the nose. "Who cares, you always look handsome in my eyes." We both laugh. "[L/N], let's go back," Hajime calls for me. "Coming! I'll see later at some point of the day." I turn away from Uno but he grabs one of my hand.

"You too my lady." He gives my hand a kiss like a gentleman. "Stop flirting on [Y/N]-chan!" Nico attacks him with a flying kick. "I'm not flirting!" Uno exclaims as he was a bit in pain. "You have some balls you make a move on her especially your supervisor." Hajime cracks his knuckles as Uno gulps.

"It's fine guys, let's go Hajime-san and report their wishes to the Warrant." I laugh and made my way to the door of the cell. Hajime gives Uno a warning look before leaving Cell 13 locking it. "Hajime-san, I have a question." I said. "What is it [L/N]?"

"When will Jyugo be released?" "We still have to interrogate him and but I think in a few days." Hajime said as he was about to lit a cigarette. "Oh I see..." I mumble. "Anyways, I'll be going back to my apartment to pick up some stuff. Hajime I'll leave it to you with reporting the inmates wishes."

"What a minute, I thought you said 'we' not 'me'!" He exclaims. "I have reports to work on so I'm busy! Bye!" I walk away leaving Hajime in frustration. Just then I see Hajime's brother Hitoshi running to me. "[Y/N]-CHAN!!" He yells and gives me a bone crushing hug. This brought attention from the prisoners around us.

"H-Hitoshi, what brings you here?" I ask trying to escape from his hug. "You dummy, can't you see? I'm working at Nanba prison from now on!" He let's go of me to twirl in his new uniform. "That's nice, do you know where or which building you will be working at?" I ask.

"I really want to work with my brother but the Warden wouldn't let me." He huffs but I can see why Momoko made the choice. "So I'm working at, which one was it again? Oh Building 4!" I don't know whether to say rest in peace for Samon or not...

"You'll love it there. Anyways, I have to go so I guess I'll see you around Hitoshi." I said. "Oh definitely! Bye [Y/N]-chan!" He gave me one more bone crushing hug before he left to perhaps see his older brother. I cracked my back before going to my apartment.

Nanba Prison has gotten peaceful these days. But this is way too peaceful on a regular basis...
