Naihal brought out the tray of finger foods and placed in on the food table. Her and Anirudh's Christmas party was in full swing tonight. It was 11:00pm on Christmas Eve to be specific, and they were planning on bringing Christmas day with full swing into their home. Friends and family were scattered around their living room, doing various things. Some were dancing, some were chit chatting, and some simply sat enjoying their drinks.

The place was decorated from head to toe. A beautiful Christmas tree stood by the balcony, the star shining bright on the top as the ribbons cascaded down around the ornaments. Garlands decorated with lights and ornaments accented the walls as well. Naihal had a little village set up in the corner resting on cotton, making it look like it the village was covered in snow. Kenny G's saxophone was oozing the instrumental of 'Have yourself a merry little Christmas' from their music system. The lights were dimmed, making the room look like it was glowing. And if you listened carefully...you could hear church bells ringing in the distance. It felt like...well... Christmas magic, Naihal thought proudly and patted herself on the back for a job well done.

Naihal scanned the room to make sure everyone was taken care of. Her eyes fell on a fellow friend who was almost done with his drink. "Shehban! Here let me refill your drink!" Naihal said. Not waiting for a response, she took his empty glass and refilled it with his usual vodka and cranberry juice.

Shahban gave Naihal a loud kiss on her cheek as she came back with his drink. "You're a darling Naihal. This party is rocking." Shehban said, his way of thanking Naihal.

Naihal did a little bow and giggled. She then turned to one of her closest friends standing next to Shehban, Ms. Jennifer Winget. Jennifer was clearly enjoying herself too. This group of friends tends to hang out with each other often and Jennifer was very comfortable in this setting. Naihal did notice a little change in Jennifer's behavior, however. There were little glances here and there that Jennifer casted to the other side of the room. They were subtle glances, but nothing passed Naihal's eagle eyes...and she had an idea of who Jennifer was stealing glances at.

Naihal casually looked over her shoulder and her eyes fell on Mr. Harshad Chopda, the newest addition to the gang. Harhsad was leaning on the balcony railing having a deep conversation with Anirudh, completely oblivious to Jennifer's secret looks. Naihal turned back and bit the inside of her cheek to keep from grinning.

Jennifer stole another glance at Harshad, and then turned her attention back to what Shehban was saying. It was no secret that Harshad and she knew each other for years, but recently became a lot closer since Bepannaah's shooting started. Before, it was a strictly professional relationship. Jennifer learned the hard way to never mix business with pleasure. Which is why she was always kept her distance from her co-actors.

But over time...she wasn't sure when that changed with Harshad. Maybe it was when they did a scene where Zoya trips and Aditya catches her. Jennifer had to completely trust Harshad to not drop her since she was not able to balance herself. Or maybe it was when Harshad memorized her lines when she was having a bad day. That one took her by surprise. It was the first time she truly understood what a caring person Harshad was. Maybe it was when Harshad called her 'God's zariya'? Or was it when he openly told her that he wished she was there at ITA seeing him receive the award?

He went from being her co-star, to someone she admired, to a good friend, to someone she shared a comfortable relationship with...and then to something much deeper. That feeling made her nervous. The one where she knew that this was turning into something deeper. But she was a professional...and she no longer mixes business with pleasure. Keeping that in mind, Jennifer looked away from Harshad and continued her conversation with Shehban.
