Braelyn
I roll my eyes at Kate's excited bouncing "what is so important that we have to wait for Josie and Lizzie to three-way into the call before you will tell?"
She smirks "you will just have to wait until they load in to know B"
I roll my eyes again "fineeeee Kate"
Once Liz and Jo are in the video chat Kate grins "okay so my uncle hooked us up, with all-access passes to see Jason Alden, Thomas Rhett, Luke Bryan, and Brantley Gilbert this weekend in Nashville"
I blow out a sigh giving one of my best friends a look "small problem there Kate, my mother won't let me do anything that has to do with BG"
She grins mischievously at me "I've got you covered babes don't tell her that he'll be there, you can tell her about the other three just leave out BG"
Liz chuckles "what's your mom's problem with him anyway?"
I shake my head knowing I can't tell them because she won't even let me talk about him and if I tell them she'll find out and I will be grounded for the rest of my life. "You wouldn't believe me even if I could tell you... But I'll see you guys Friday"
Okay let me explain some things when my mom took me away from my dad she brought us to her hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee, she was born here and her and my grandma moved to Jefferson after my Grandpa died for a clean slate when my mom was 11.
I don't care what she says I'm going to that concert and I am going to see my dad and I'm gonna do what Kate said and not tell her that he'll be there.
She hasn't let him even talk to me, not since the night we left. I mean I get it now that I'm older she didn't want me around him while he was still drinking all the time but what I don't understand is why even after he got sober she still wouldn't let him near me.
I miss my daddy, I was a major daddy's girl from the day I was born he used to call me his Little Outlaw Princess.
I walk downstairs to tell Mama about the concert. "Mama?"
She looks up from her laptop "Yes, Sweetie?"
I give her my most innocent look "So I just talked to Kate and her uncle got her four passes to see Jason Alden, Thomas Rhett, and Luke Bryan this weekend... Please can I go?" She chuckles
She gives me a look "where?"I smile at her "Nashville... Please mama we get to meet them and chill backstage, did I mention all-access passes"
She sighs "Fine but only because I know if I say no you'll sneak out and go anyway, call me as soon as you get there, I mean it is only two hours away"
I grin at her pulling her into a hug "thanks Mama" I run back up to my room and shoot Kate text
B:
We're all setKate:
Sweet, you told her what I suggested right?B:
Yep, and she said yes. I'm so freaking excited about this trip Kate.Kate:
I'm so freaking excited to introduce you guys to my uncle... You are in for a hell of a surprise in that front.B:
Seriously though like not even a hint as to who the uncle is and how he pulled off four all-access passes?Kate:
Nope, you'll have to wait until we get to Nashville on Friday for that.B:
figured but thought I'd ask anyway though but I'm going to go shower and get some stuff packed for this weekend and I'll see you Friday morning.Kate:
Later BI hook my phone up to charge and smile to myself two more days and I'll get to see my dad face to face for the first time since I was 10. it's been 5 years.
I turn on some music and start packing some stuff into a duffle bag as Something to Talk about by Koe Wetzel starts playing I love this song.
I start singing baking as I get my things ready before bringing my Bluetooth speaker into my bathroom so I can hear the music as I take a shower.
