Chapter 5

(Riley's P.O.V.)

I sat in my window seat looking at the view, it wasn't really a view. Than I noticed Maya coming up the fire escape, and I got ready to let my anger out. 

" I can't believe that Lucas and Logan are a thing. Like I swear Lucas was into me," I said to Maya, " Like seriously!"

" You can dream Riley, but he is with Logan. And that means you are out of the picture." 

" I don't get how they can be a couple, they don't have any cute nicknames like Rucas." 

" How about Logcas?"

" Maya, you are supposed to be on team Rucas, NOT team Logcas!" I explained to Maya loudly, " Damn it, Logcas is cute."

" Are you mad at me now?"

" Yes and don't try any puppy eyes on me."

Next morning I was in pain, not real pain, but heartbreak pain. I don't get it I thought I was great for Lucas, but I guess I'm wrong. And being wrong for the first time ever hurts too.

" Riley,why do you look so down?" Daddy asked 

"I'm not down I don't know what you are talking about, I am perfectly up," I answered 

" Oh really than why do you look like a frickn hobo."

I looked into the mirror, he was right. My hair was all messed up and frizzy, with some weird substance in it. The bags under my eyes were as big as some Chanel bags, and my eyes were still slightly shut. I was still wearing my pajamas, you can't go to school in pajamas. You can't go to school if you are in the condition I am, but have real clothes on. After realizing everything that was wrong with me I looked down at m feet, and there were my fuzzy bunny slippers. The slippers are like a cherry on a throw up sundae, and I'm the throw up sundae.

" My life is a mess Daddy! Please fix it," I cried.

" Topanga You wanna handle this one," Daddy said.

" I got honey! Now Riley lets go get ready for school and not dumpster diving," My mom said while she was pulling me back into my room. 

I sat there like a died animal while my mom fix me up, so I didn't have to look like a hobo for school.

I finally got to school looking refreshed. I didn't talk to anyone when I was at my locker and in the hallway. As I was walking into class I saw Lucas and Logan in their seats, that were next to each other. So I put my head down and walked quietly to my seat without making any one notice me. 

" Hi Riley!"

DAMN IT!!!!

"Hi Lucas," I replied.
