Chris really didn't want James to come over but, nothing would stop James. He burst right into Chris's place. It was a mess. James thought his place was a mess but, Chris's was messier. He walked around the place. There was blankets messily thrown onto the couch and empty boxes of tissues, and tissues, around that area. He could tell that Chris had been lying there and crying his heart out. Knowing Chris was crying and how it impacted his life, made James heartbroken. He wondered why Chris was upset. Chris didn't say anything about it. James was really curious. He knew Chris really expressed emotion but, didn't show sadness often. He was usually cheery and adorable. James missed that side of him. So he was here to help ease Chris back to his original state.
As James continued down the hall, he found a closed door. It was Chris's bedroom, he assumed. He knocked lightly on the door. No reply. Maybe Chris was sleeping? No, there was no way he could have fallen asleep that quickly, he just replied to a text James sent him. He figured if he knocked again, Chris would ignore him. So he slowly opened the door and peeked inside. Sure enough, there was a large lump in the blanket on Chris's bed. The room was dark but, he could still see. James assumed that lump of blanket was Chris under it. He slowly approached Chris.
"Chris?" James said quietly. The lump in the blanket moved.
"Are you trying to sleep?" James asked. No answer. James took a seat on the edge of the bed.
"Chris. I'm here for you. What do you need?" James asked him. Chris felt relaxed with James in his presence. Chris was still silent though.
"Chris." James said sternly.
"I'm not leaving your side until you say something. I know your awake. I will sleep here even. Just talk to me." James reasoned. Chris didn't say anything because he knew James wouldn't leave. James isn't the kind of person who would leave after saying something like that. He wouldn't give up. Plus, Chris felt calm enough to be able to fall asleep with James in his presence. So, Chris got comfortable and in his sleeping position. He poked his head out of the blanket to see if James was sitting there and he wasn't. Instead, James was laying down next to him. Chris smiled, and closed his eyes. He needed sleep and he was going to get it.
