"yep!"

"he is going to die once he sees you! i mean look at your hair!"

"i know, i know. it just feels so weird you know different hair, different clothes."

"yeah but think about the look on his face once he lays eyes on you."

"probaly disgusted."

"don't say that! he'll be speechless, and i'm sure of that."

"So what did you and Annie do over winter break, probably argue," I asked Mark while we were walking towards his locker.
"Oh nothing much, and we did not argue we just had a heated conversation!" He exclaimed
"Sure you guys didn't," I said with a slight chuckle. We got to his locker, he put in the combination and it popped right open.
"So, Donghyuck what did you do over break? Were you thinking about Sohyun?" Mark asked and nudged me slightly while trying to organize his locker.

Once he mentioned her name I came to a complete stop for a while. All I could think about what over break was the nights I couldn't sleep. Wait stop yourself Donghyuck, Mark just asked you a question and you should answer it.

"Well nothing much, on Christmas my dad called over his new girlfriend to spend some quality time with me and him but it wasn't that enjoyable," I replied with a sigh. Mark closed his locker and grabbed trash to toss it out
We were about to head to the cafeteria to throw out Mark's junk but suddenly students in the hallway started whispering and slowly seperated in the middle. "Uh what's going?" Mark asked, also moving towards the side a little.
"I have no idea."
Suddenly they were two girls walking down the pathway, Annie and Sohyun? Wait is that Sohyun or am I just being delusional. The two walk towards us and stop in front of us and the crowd slowly declined.

"What's up Sohyun! I am feeling that new look of yours!" Mark exclaimed
"Thanks! Annie did it for me, you know you should ask her for a glow up yourself sometime."
"Uh not even a magician can fix Mark's fashion! Don't get me started with his hair," Annie roasted.

"So Sohyun I see that you dyed your hair gray, i-it's pretty cool," I said.
"Yeah I really like it," she replied back while fidgeting with the strands that were long enough to reach her hands.
"Also I dig your clothes, it's looks like something a biker would wear. And what are those on your legs?"
"Oh these?" she pointed to her legs, "they're called fishnets, but I can see why you asked that. Obviously you don't have a sense of style," she snapped.
"Of course I do, I mean they don't call me the school's heartthrob for nothing," I say with confidence.
"The only reason they call you the heartthrob is because you literally make people's heart ache until they lose it and their heart starts to break!" She screamed in my face.

"Come on Sohyun, we need to get to class," Annie interrupted.
"Yeah, well bye Mark," she said and glared at me. They left and slowly became a part of the crowd in the hallway.

"she didn't even say bye to me, rude much."

"you do deserve it."

"what? how?!"

"you broke the girl's heart, that's why she explained why people call you a heartthrob."

"well you're the one who basically blackmailed me into it."

"i told you there's a reason behind it."

"so exactly what is that reason?"

"remember last year i asked you that question, would you rather date my sister or date sohyun, well i asked you that because i knew that sohyun had liked you, or should i say loved you. you told me that you would rather date annie than sohyun, even though you said that annie is like a sister to you. you said that you would die if you were to date sohyun, and you said that even a homeless man wouldn't even dare to touch her because she was so disgusting. but guess what? now you're the one everybody doesn't want to touch. you know i thought you would've told me that you didn't want to do the dare anymore because it seemed like you have actually fallen for her but i guessed wrong."

"but how could i stop, you were going to tell people about my family."

"you really thought that? we've known each other for seven years now i wouldn't throw a friendship down the drain that easily. annie and i were dreaming for the day you and sohyun fall in love but, sometimes dreams don't come true."

"but....."

"i'm sorry i set you up, but i think it's best if we go our separate ways now."

"why?"

"like i said everything has its own reason."

"are you gonna find a new best friend?"

"no. i'll be protecting my sisters from heartthrobs. now i need to throw away my trash."
