The next morning I woke up and got myself ready
Before I went downstairs I saw I had received a text from Daniel

Daniel: Good morning ☺️
Gabriela: Good morning 🙃
Daniel: Ready for school?
Gabriela: Can you ever be ready for school?
Daniel: Hahaha good point 😜
I'm excited
Gabriela: why?
It's a school day, how can you be excited? 🤔

And he went offline
Why was he excited?
Why do I even care?
Why am I smiling at my phone?
You aren't gonna tell me that I start having feelings for-
"GABRIELA!!" I got interrupted by a scream from downstairs. "What!?" I ran downstairs and I saw my foster dad waiting for me in the kitchen. "I made you breakfast!" He said with a smile. "Is that why you yelled my name? I thought something worse happened, Jesus." I mumbled and sat down. Ethan laughed "When dad makes breakfast he always screams when it's done, get used to it sister!"

Did he just said..
Sister?
Oh no
I'm not part of this family
What is this
I looked at him a little annoyed and took a sip of my coffee.
"Someone isn't in a good mood" Lily walked downstairs and looked at me. "Guys leave her alone for a second" my foster dad interrupted everybody and looked at me.
He saw my face
My angry eyes
My annoyed face
The fact that I'm here with my foster 'family' is the worst part, but now they are saying words like 'sister' and I don't want to be their sister. I stood up grabbed my bag and walked outside. Everybody was screaming my name, and I already knew why, because it was 8:15 am, and school starts at 9. But I needed to go away, away from the whole 'family' thing.

I walked over to the park, which was 5 minutes away from our house. I went to the same bench as a few days ago and I took a seat. It started to rain a little, but I didn't care. I wasn't the only one in the park who didn't care about the rain.
I saw little kids running around and other kids playing with each other, some were playing football and some were playing another game. Parents who are sitting at the bench, waiting till it's time to bring their kids to school, some parents who were talking with each other. Everybody was in a good mood
And then there was me
Sitting
With my earplugs in
Listening to music
In the rain
Looking around
And as always
No one cared, no one noticed me, I'm just a piece of shit..

"This is the second time we see each other, when are you giving me a present?" I heard someone laughing from behind. I turned around and I saw Daniel walking towards to me. "Good morning" I said with a little smile. He sat down next to me. "What are you doing here?" I asked him
"Waiting till it's 8:30 and I can bring my little brother to school, what about you?" I watched his blue eyes and I wanted to tell him the truth, but I've learned from this
You can't trust anyone

"Oh, just chilling" I said and looked straight ahead
"This early? I would be in bed" he laughed and I looked at him. This is where I was afraid for..
Being friends with someone
Being friends means asking questions
Being friends means trusting each other
And how can someone trust you if you can't tell the truth?

After a few minutes Daniel stood up and brought his brother to school. He asked if I wanted to come with him, but I said no.
I just can't be with him
I want to be friends with him
But I can't
Because I'm a liar
And I don't want to ruin his life because of my lies. He shouldn't be with me, he shouldn't be nice to me,
He
Has
To
Leave
Me
Alone

8:55 am, I arrived at school and walked inside. I didn't saw Daniel, thank god. I walked over to the classroom and I took a seat. "How are your first days Gabriela?" The teacher asked while I took my diary out of my bag. "Fine mr. Andersson" "You don't like to talk much, do you?"
I didn't knew what to answer on that question, so I just looked at him. Hoping that a few people will enter the classroom in a few seconds. "Good morning mr. Andersson" another student walked in. Thank god, I'm saved.
Daniel walked inside, we crossed eyes and I saw he wanted to walk over to my place. Quickly I put my bag on the seat next to me. Then his friends asked if he wanted to sit next to them.
Again, saved
