_Chapter Thirteen_

"Baby can I hold you tonight?"

1 year later..

"People are wondering where Mrs. Mathews is now, it's been years since we've seen a glimpse of the elusive Mrs. Mathews and now it seems like the model and Human Rights Advocate Kayla Richards has been seen more often with Dillon Mathews rather than his wife!"

I couldn't help but laugh at the news anchor, she couldn't be anymore right.

"I don't want to think something bad happened to her, but there has been no official statement given as to her whereabouts and it still a mystery what really happened or if it's true that she died or the opposite match are no longer together and that the experiment is a fail and that the rumors that Dillon and Kayla are now dating again!"

Now I wanna strangle her. Dammit, I am so not dead! I

closed my laptop and threw the closest thing to me to the wall which was a glass of water. The glass shattered on the wall, why can't they leave me alone? I mean I know I just kinda left the scene and all but I hated that they made it a big news and the pictures of Dillon and Kayla together just made my blood boil.

"That's the 58th glass you've successfully broken for the past year, I should probably kick you out now." Lillian says as she sauntered inside what was once Dillon's room whenever he came to his mother's place.

"You've said that to me again and again for a year now Lillian and you still can not find it in your heart to do so. You luuurrrrrvvvv me!" I smirked at her. She shook her head and called for a maid to clean up my mess.

"Why on earth did you ever came to me again?" She mumbled as she sat on the couch near the big window just a meter away from the bed where I was sitting.

"Because I have no one else to go and I know this will be the last place Dillon would think of going when he's searching for me? And you're my favorite mother in law!"

"I am your only mother in law." She deadpans.

"Exactly!" Lillian just shook her head.

"Don't you think now is the right time to go back and reclaim your title as the wife? It's been a year already, as much as I dont like you..."

"None taken.." I cut off. Lillian rolled her eyes and continued.

"I mean it Vernice, as much as I don't like you and all, I despise that woman more. I made a mistake once in my life that I really regret now and I don't want my son to do the same mistake I did. I love Dillon so much to watch him be humiliated as a cheating bastard and I know he is not-"

"I know, I know Lill,. It's just that I'm really scared okey? There I said it! I'm scared to death! What will I do if I came back only to have the divorce papers signed? I love your son dammit!" I yelled. Lillian sighed.

"I know you do and I'm glad that you love him for himself and not just for his money."

"Nope, I love him with his looks too you know. He's hot as hell, kodus to you and Derrick, you did a pretty good job." I joked. She smiled and shook her head. I know it's confusing, I mean Me and my Monster-- I mean Mother In Law getting well together and living in the same house.. I am confused too at first that is, but this was the only place I could go. At first she didn't want to help me or do anything with me but I'm a persistent piece of shit and I have a stubborn personality and add my charms then boom! A year.. that's a feat. We did clash and fought many times and we almost killed each other but that didn't happen luckily, now I can safely say that she's on my side and she might even like me now.. a little tinie tiny bit but that's gotta mean something right? She also became my confidante and my teacher, from teaching me how to act and speak and she helped me enroll into college, I'll be graduating soon with a bachelor in Music major in piano forte and voice. Yep, she was very supportive. She's bad at music and she really wanted to get Dillon into music but he wasn't interested so now she can have someone to castigate in learning music.  It was a win-win situation.
