summary: boruto/naruto shippuden au. sarada discovers a scroll that takes her back in time. she runs into two unexpected people.

"boruto." sarada hissed, raising her fist.

"do not touch the scroll! we're just here to return these ones." she pulled him by the ear instead, dragging him away from the scroll in the middle of the room left in an ominous glass case.

"but sarada-! cmon! you gotta be interested to find out what's inside!" he exclaimed, dramatically reaching out to touch it.

"of course i am! but i am not risking getting in trouble with lord seventh!" she hissed.

"you're such a pansy. talk about a party pooper."

she let go of his ear. that earned him a punch.

"hey!" his frown soon turned into a smirk, as he made a dash for the scroll.

"boruto don't you dare!" dropping the other scrolls in her hand, sarada sprinted after him.

"give me tha- boruto!" she screamed as he discarded the glass barrier and went to touch it.

she tackled him to the ground, knocking down the scroll from its pillar. they rolled around a bit, before she buried his face into the floor taking that moment to dive after the scroll.

protectively holding it to her chest, she screamed with glee.

"got it! ha! take that!"

a slim pinkish figure knocked gently on the hokages door. once she heard the voice of the fifth call out to her, she entered, bowing after closing the door behind her.

"tsunade-sama? you requested to see me?" sakura haruno rose her head so her master could get a good look at her face.

"ah, sakura. right on time." she ushered her student to come closer.

"i have an important mission for you. we have a team of shinobi just north from the village, many are injured. we've sent many medic ninja, but none have made it there, some haven't even made it back to the village. those who have are claiming to see a strange shinobi blocking them from passing."

"a rogue?" sakura asked.

sasuke?

"we're unsure. all we know is that their getting in the way of our operations." tsunade grumbled, daring to take another sip of her sake to calm herself down.

"operations? up north? isn't that whe-"

"yes, it's close to the alleged sound village. which is why..."

"you think orochimarus  got something to do with this?!" sakura was far more intrigued now. where orochimaru was, sasuke was.

"not directly, but he may be involved. which is why we can't send anymore unprepared medical nin. hence why i called you, my student. you're the only one with enough battle capabilities, and abilities in general to help those shinobi."
