It was a normally Saturday afternoon and I was walking around outside with Lorie. She kept talking about what type of flowers I had to use for a fragrant perfume.

"You see, everyone thinks it's roses you have to put in a perfume, but it's actually not. Just because they look beautiful, doesn't mean they smell beautiful after you've mixed it up."

I laughed at her enthusiasm and kept walking next to her. She bend down and picked up a yellow flower.

"This is a marigold. It smells incredible!"

Without hesitation she stuck the flower to my head and I jumped surprised backwards.

"Easy Miss. Mad Flower."

"Sorry.. I have just gotten so much into perfumes."

I laughed and she put the flower in her bag. We walked further until a voice from across where we stood filled the air.

"Lorie Michelle Smithers!"

We both looked up and saw Hermione, Ron and Harry. Hermione looked furious. They started walking with speed.

"How dare you!" She screamed stopped up close to Lorie. Raised her hand and slapped her.

Everyone around us gasped including me.

"Hey! Cut it out!" I yelled.

"That little frump stole my book from Potions! Horace is gonna kill me!"

"Hold up psycho! How can you know it was her?!" I yelled.

"Oh come on! She's the only Slytherin who loves Potion just as much as me, and her own book is missing!"

"That's not enough evidence!"

She hit out for me, but I dodged and pushed her away.

"You little..!"

She grabbed my collar and started shaking me, but I grabbed her arms and made sure she wouldn't make me fall down. Everybody was standing in a circle now. They were cheering and clapping.

Suddenly everyone shut up and Hermione and I got separated from each other even tho we tried holding on.

"What the hell is going on here?"

I looked up and saw Malfoy standing there with his arms crossed.

"Your little Slytherin bitch stoke my book!"

He looked offended at her with stingy eyes.

"And that gives you the right to attack another girl?"

"She started it!" Hermione yelled, but Malfoy cut her off.

"How do you know, it wasn't another person who took your book? I mean, do you have any evidence?"

She looked irritated. She opened her mouth and told him the same thing she told us.

He smirked and shook his head.

"What the hell are you smiling so stupidly about, Malfoy?" Harry snapped.

"You're charging the wrong person, Granger."

Harry and Ron looked at Hermione as she opened her mouth and furrowed her brows.

"Excuse me?!"

Malfoy smirked again and put his hands in his bag. We all waited for a second and then he pulled out a big, dusty book.

"Is this what you're looking for?"

I looked at Malfoy with a smile and then Hermione. She grabbed the book and looked at it.

"So it was you? Your thief! I'll make sure Dumbledore know this!"

"It wasn't me," he said and looked up at Harry and Ron's confused faces. "Peeve took it after class. I saw it. I just didn't tell you."

She didn't say anything. Instead she took the book and put it in her bag and twirled around and left with Harry and Ron in her heels.

I looked at Malfoy who smiled at me and then at Lorie who had gotten a red cheek. She smiled slightly and thanked Malfoy.

"You're welcome, Lorie."

He then walked off. I followed him and grabbed his arm when we were a little further away from where the incident happened.

"Malfoy!" I said and smiled. "How did you.."

He smiled.

"It really was Peeves. I just saw Granger getting all fired up before she left the table. I figured it had something to do about this."

"Wow.. thank you.. very much."

"No problem. But you should really hit get into fights. It's not girly like."

I laughed it off with him and then nodded.

"I won't."

He smiled.

"Good. I'll see you in class."

He grabbed my arm and gave it a little squeeze before leaving. I watched him as he disappeared in the crowd inside the school. He was truly amazing.
