Deer

I was on a mission with Optimus, he lets me come in mission when he's only looking for enagon signals. Im thinking while looking out the window (because it was quite boring), I smirked at a memory that happened only about a week ago.

Flashback

"Here, try" I said handing him it.

"Are you sure humans eat these a lot? It's doesn't look right to me".

" I solemnly swear that humans eat this" I put my hand on my heart.

"Ok then" He took it, hesitated and bit into it..... there was a second of silence......Then made the funniest face ever! It was like he was cringing and frowning at the same time. I spluttered with laughter.

"Hahaha!! *inhale* oh my god! Ha, ha!" Optimus quickly gives it back to me.

"I thought you said humans eat this thing!"

"Well, humans eat lemons on the side of things" Oh yes, I gave Optimus a lemon. I had to! It was so funny! I gave Optimus a glass of water to wash his mouth out. I had tears in my eyes. "Admit it, I got you good babe".

"Ok, you got me" he put his arms up in surrender. "I'm never trusting you again".

"Oh, you will" I have an evil smirk.

End of flashback

I chuckled at the thought and came back to reality. "I detect a faint enagon signal" Optimus drove into the forest, let me out of his truck form and transformed. He picked me up and walked towards the signal. He looked at the machine that detects enagon. "The signal along seems to be faint her-" there was a sudden loud bang. Me and Optimus both jumped. We jumped so badly I nearly fell of his shoulder.

"Desepticons?"

"Maybe" he put his face mask on a walked towards where the loud noise was. He pushed past some branches with his hands and we saw, hunters. They looked at us (mainly Optimus) and ran for there lives.

"Oh my god"

"What is it?"

"Put me down, quickly" he put me down and I ran towards the animal. It was a deer, he/she was shot. Optimus got his holoform and ran towards me. He stood next to me and stared in shock. "He's still alive!" I crouch down next to the deer.

"Is there anything we can do?" He crouched down next to me. The poor deer looked at us in fear. He couldn't lift his head he was so weak.

"No. We can only comfort him/her till death" a tear ran down my eye. "Sit here on your knees". He did so and I gently lifted the deers head and neck and placed it on Optimus' lap. "Keep him calm" I took my jacket of and put it over the deer to keep him warm. Optimus rubbed his thumb on his right hand on the side of the deers face, under his/her eye, and his over hand stroked his neck. I took one of my socks of and used it to get some blood away from the wound. Socks can be quite useful at times.

The deer suddenly tried to stand up "woah, woah, steady" I said as he collapsed down again.

"Easy there, shh" Optimus said stroking the side of its face with his hand this time. I sat next to him and stroked the deer's shoulder. "Why do humans do this? Why kill something so beautiful. He done nothing wrong to them has he?"

"No he hasn't. Humans are just greedy. They want money all the time. It's not right though. I don't know why you fighting for are freedom, Optimus, because we humans just take freedom away." The deer seemed to be relaxed now. We stayed with the deer until he/she breathed his/her last breath. Optimus went back to his auto form and walked to a empty patch of grass. He started to dig up the ground. "What are you doing?"

"Burying him" he said, not looking at me. When he finished, he gently picked up the deer and put him in. He covered him up with the dirt and stood up again. We stood in silence for about 3 minutes. "We should go, the enagon signal is gone now" he said sadly. I could tell he hated what he just saw. We drove back to base in silence.

When we arrived at base, I hoped out of Optimus' truck form and he transformed. "Hey guys!" Said Miko. I made a sad smile back and kept walking up the stairs.

"What's wrong?" Asked bulkhead seeing that we were both sad about something. The whole of the team looked at us.

"We, ah, we buried a dead deer that got shot."

"Oh no" said raf.

"You ok, Optimus?" Asked ratchet. Optimus did look wheezy.

"I'm fine, old friend"  he sadly said and walked of to his quarters.

__________Time skip__________

Optimus has been in his room for the whole day. It was now getting late and I was supposed to be going home. Ratchet offered to take me but I was to worryed about Optimus. I walked to his room and knocked at the door. After a while, Optimus opened the door and saw it was me. He let me in and got his holoform out again. "Are you ok? You been in here all-" he pulled me into a tight hug. He buried his head in my neck.

"Can I sleep at yours tonight? I don't think I can sleep without you."

"Of course you can" I kissed the side of his head and brought him closer. "How come your grieving so much about the deers death when there's loads body's everywhere when your fighting?"

"This is different, he/she was so Innocent. He/she had no right to die."

"Optimus, we did the best we could of done, and you relaxed him so much the way you comforted him. He didn't die in vain." He didn't say anything. I cupped his face with a hand and he lent into the touch. He moved his face and kissed my palm then he placed his hand over mine.

"How are you so amazing?"

"That's something I should ask you" we kissed each over one more time before his Holoform disappeared and I climbed on his auto forms hand. He walked into the main base and walked up to ratchet.

"I'm staying at Y/Ns place tonight. Contact me if you need anything."

"See you tomorrow Ratchet!" I said.

"Okay.... See you..... tomorrow....." He mumbled. I shrugged it of as Optimus transformed into his truck form.

He drove us to our apartment and we went in to be greeted by molly. I already had dinner and Optimus wasn't hungry so we didn't need to eat. We were tired so we decided to go to bed. I got changed into cosy pjs.

Optimus' clothes faded into a red top with blue shorts. I persuaded him to stop wear grey clothes.

(Ignore the mic gram thing, I'm to poor to get an app that's good :P)

"Nice" I said "matches you paint job".

"Through you would notice" He said that in his normal voice, but there was still some sadness in there.

We clambered into bed and cuddled close. "Feel any better?"

"Yes, thanks to you." He kissed my forehead "you are a work of wonders".

"Aww, your so sweet." I snuggled up more, I was starting to fall asleep. "Do you want to come to the yard tomorrow? The horse haven't seen you in ages".

"I would love to" I lay my head on his chest. The feelings of his chest rising and falling made me feel more and more sleepy.

"I love you, Optimus".

"I love you to,Cheval"

Agh! I'm so tied! It's like 2:00am here!!!! But I'm to busy in the day right now to wright a chapter!!!!!! Sorry if it's short, I got a lot of family stuff going on since it's Christmas. I will be back on track by Sunday/ New Year's Day.
