12. Project Partner

I woke up with a jerk and look around my surroundings, I was in shanaya's room and found her sleeping beside me so I silently got out of the her room and walked towards my own. Last night she insisted that we should have a sleepover at her place i.e room 02.

It was fun and after so much hustle bustle I think it was necessary for my sanity to spend some girl time with her and have some fun, which most of the college girls do.

It was monday morning so I quickly went to my room for a shower and changed into a black shirt with dark blue jeans but not before making sure that shanaya was getting ready too I didn't want to get late one more time just so she could have a few more minutes of her beauty sleep.

We both made our way to the college and upon reaching there I closely looked around my surroundings, students were roaming around some were standing outside the stationary shop to have the print out of their assignments some are having their breakfast in college canteen there were love birds too who were lost in the bliss and I smiled looking at them. Upon entering the main college building we met with some faculty members and I cheerfully wished them, and even the ones with sour faces who are not morning persons or simply don't like to handle college brats full of attitude, responded with a bright smile.

All these were the things which I took for granted never found the time to really appreciate or even notice it but after all these events I could truly see what I would have missed if Mr. Adil wouldn't have been there. I smiled thinking about him as I made my way towards my first class.

" Oh god she always does this" shanaya groaned as Mrs. Chauhan gave us our assignment as class got over.

" She likes to torture us this way" I smirked.

" Tell me about it. I have to attend a party how will I complete it before dead line it's too early" she shut her notebook loudly and stood up when her phone started to vibrate.

" Oh that's dad calling me on my college hours as usual " she rolled her eyes as she got out of the class.

"Party" I exhaled as I shook my head.

"I warned you last time that I will not help you, did I not?" I folded my arms as shanaya gave me a puppy face.

" I am sorry I swear from next sem onwards I will prepare the notes for myself and for you as well" she pleaded and batted her eyelashes to which I scoffed .
" Who are you fooling babe" I took out the notes from my bag " it's just because you helped me and this is last time" I handed over the notes to her.

" Thank you so much you are my Goddess" she hugged me and hurriedly walked towards her room " idiot" I entered my room and dropped on my bed feeling tired and that's when my mobile started to ring. Upon checking the the caller ID I got surprised because it was my brother and he never called me before unless it's urgent.

" Hello"

" Hello Mehek" he said tentatively.

" How are you?" I tugged my ear.

" I am fine. how's the college goin?" I was surprised that he asked me about my college, never before he had called me or asked about my life.

"Ahm... Good what about you?"

" Everythin is fine got the job"

" Congo bro!"

" Thanks"

silence descended upon us.

" What it is" I asked to kill the silence.

" listen I want to meet you I am near your college" I stood up from my bed in surprise and started to march in circle biting my lips.
