Noah's POV
•••
The next day, my mom and I headed to the shop with Tim following behind us. He stayed over last night because he was afraid to go back home by himself. Mature, right?
But anyways, today I was planning to leave early so that I could go find that boy from yesterday. What's his name again? Aiden? Kayden? Hayden? Right, Hayden.
"Oh wow, our first customer." Mom said snapping me out of my thoughts. I looked up to see the devil himself in front of the shop reading.
"Oooooo!" Tim shrieked and smiled before running off to him. I face palmed and sighed.
That idiot...
"Tim seems to like him a lot. Think he'll settle down?" Mom asked as she struggled with the boxes in her hands. I raised an eyebrow and laughed as I took the boxes from her.
"Tim? No. He's actually been trying to hook me up with that guy. But like I said to him, I'm not interested." I said and looked at Tim harassing Hayden.
"Why not? He's super cute and you two would look good together." She replied and grabbed the keys from her pocket.
"I know he is, but still." I mumbled a little and grabbed Tim's hand as we arrived at the front of the shop. I pulled him away from Hayden and went behind the counter as soon as the door opened.
"Can you... maybe leave him alone a little? I mean, if I was him I would totally punch you in the face everytime you appeared in front of me." I said and pursed my lips. He raised an eyebrow and smirked.
"Oh, so you're jealous." He said and grinned. I mentally face palmed and shook my head.
"Dude, no. You're just that annoying." I fired back and winked before walking towards Hayden with my pen and notepad.
"Hey, what can I get for you?" I asked as I stood in front of him. He looked at me and smiled a little causing me to blush heavily.
"The same from before. A mocha and two chocolate chip cookies." He replied. I nodded and wrote that down before smiling and walked away.
"A mocha and two chocolate chip cookies, mom." I yelled towards the area my mom was in and she nodded. Just then another customer came in. I sighed and grabbed my notepad again but before I could go over, I noticed he passed by every table and sat down next to Hayden.
"Oh, so he got a boyfriend." Tim mumbled as he leaned next to me. I shushed him and placed a hand over his mouth.
"It doesn't look so." I whispered to him. The way Hayden tensed up when he realized the guy in front of him was kinda off. He looked frightened.
"Oh my-TIM!" I shrieked as I realized that, that asshole just licked my hand.
"What?! You had your hand over my mouth! What else was I supposed to do?" He asked and laughed. I groaned and wiped it on his shirt. I looked back over at Hayden to see him staring at me. My eyes widen and turned towards Tim again.
"Here." My mom peeped in after a few seconds. I bite my bottom lip and looked at Tim.
"Go give that to him and find out what the fuck they're talking about." I said and handed him a crate with two cookies and a mocha. Tim looked at me as though I was crazy and shook his head.
"Hell no, you go." He said and pushed the crate towards me.
"I am not going over there, Tim. Do it." I insisted but he shook his head again.
"I am not going over there either. I'm annoying, remember?" He said and shot me a fake smile.
Fuck.
"Ok, ok you're not annoying. I just said that because I was mad. You two talk way to much and I got jealous, alright? Now go!" I said and shoved the crate towards him. His eyes landed behind me and he smiled. I looked at him confused but then gasped.
"H-he's..." I started but couldn't finish my sentence. Tim got where I was going though because he nodded and I frowned. I turned around to see Hayden looking at me. His cheeks were slightly red and he was biting his bottom lip.
Fuck my life.
"H-here you go. U-uh... that would be-"
"Keep the change." The guy from earlier cut me off as he handed me a 20 dollar bill. I nodded and thanked him before taking the money from his hand. I then handed Hayden what he order and smiled.
"Thanks for buying from this shop." I said before turning to face Tim who was so close to bursting out with laughter. I looked to my side to see Hayden and the guy walk out.
"Did you see the look that guy gave you?!" Tim yelled and grabbed my shoulders as he laughed.
"What look?" I asked as I took my eyes off of Hayden.
"Dude, he looked like he wanted to beat the living daylights out of you! You're so dead!" He cheered as though it was the best thing in the world.
"What the fuck?! Why are you happy?!" I asked and grabbed his arms. He looked at me as though I was dumb.
"Because you've got competition and I know for sure you're gonna win." He said as though it was so obvious. I groaned loudly and rest my forehead against his shoulder. He patted my back and sighed.
"It's ok, he's gonna be all yours soon, buddy." He said which made me groan even louder.
It's not ok. It's not ok because I don't even like the guy that way... I think... ugh! I don't.
"Cheer up, cause you got another customer." Tim said and pulled away from me. I looked over to see that there was indeed another customer and nodded. I put on my signature smile on and grabbed my notepad and pen before walking over to the customer.
