"And this is the story of how I died."
"Lance!"
"Ow! Sorry, sorry."
Don't worry, it is actually a really happy story. And it's not even... entirely...mine. My name is Lanpunzel, but I go by Lance. And this story starts, with the sun. When a single drop of sunlight fell from the sky, and it was pure quintessence. This quintessence had the magical healing powers that healed a pregnant commoner. But right when the baby was born, she left him on the king and queens doorstep and they decided to take him in. Until he was stolen away by a quintessence obsessed woman...
Lance woke up like he did every day. His face was smeared with his homemade face mask, and he was tangled in a bed of his ridiculously long brown hair. He crawled out of his bed, his seemingly never ending hair trailing behind him.
He went to the bathroom, tying his hair up in a side-ponytail and finishing up his facial care routine, and by then it was only 7:15. He sighed, looking at the blue hologram that displayed the time. He flicked a hand through part of his hair, staring at himself in the mirror. "Well I guess it's a whole day of playing video games again. Not that I'm complaining." He said with a grin at himself in the mirror. But the grin faded slightly afterward.
He started walking to the main room of the tower, a cup of a warm drink in his hands, when something caught his eye through the window. He immediately rushed over to watch. In the sky, far in the distance, he saw five colored ships in the shapes of lions flying around. He pulled out the binoculars he kept near the window, and stared at the lions. He could see their pilots including a man with white hair in the red lion and a large man with purple skin in the black one.
That was Lance's biggest dream; to see the flying lions for himself.

Pidge was crouched behind a pillar, typing furiously on the hologram computer that came from her wrist. With a hiss, the door unlocked. She smirked. She already exhausted all the Garrison could get her, so now the Castle of Lions was her next best option. She was already wanted dead or alive anyway, why not break into the royal castle?
She darted through the door quickly, her weapon at the ready should someone be ready for her entry. No one was and she smirked. This was going to be easier than she thought and she was happy she chose not to bring those thugs along. They would've just slowed her down.
She found the nearest air duct and made her way in. She began crawling through the vents, using her wrist computer as a map. She eventually found her way above exactly where she wanted to be; The main control room. She looked down and no one was inside, just some guards guarding the entrance. Another confident smirk spread across Pidge's face. She carefully lowered herself down to the main panel and her fingers began flying across the keyboard and she quickly hacked in. After only a few doboshes, her heart leaped as she saw the face of her brother in a blurry recording. She let out a quiet squeal and quickly downloaded the video onto her chip. She would've made a swift exit out the vent again, but found that it was far too high up and she had accidentally left her grappling hook by the pillar. Cursing under her breath, she turned toward the guards. One of them sneezed.
"Ugh, Hay Fever?" She said innocently. The guard didn't look back, but responded with "Yeah." He then quickly realized that the control room was supposed to be empty. He turned around but before he could even think, Pidge launched her tiny body onto him in a full on tackle, then jumped off of him and took off in a run.
"Hey! Get that little boy!" He shouted.

While Lance was still daydreaming out the window, he heard the faint trill from magical teleporting behind him. He turned around to see an old woman with white hair and red marks under her eyes; Honerva.
"Honerva, I was wondering since my birthday is coming up soon-" Lance began slowly.
"It can't be July already." She said matter-of-factly, before turning to work on whatever quintessence based experiment laid on her desk. Honerva knew his long hair and its... interesting... properties was because of quintessence he was exposed to before being born. And now, she used his quintessence for her own gain.
"Well it is, and I was wanting to go out. To go see the Lions." He began, before adding quietly "And not to mention all the girls!"
"No." Honerva answered simply.
"Come on Honerva, you can't keep this gorgeous face from the ladies forever!" He argued.
"The ladies? With their awful fangs, dangerous tempers and shocking bayards?" Honerva said trying to frighten him. She needed the quintessence radiating from him and wasn't going to lose it.
The hope Lance once had faded into nothingness and a frown came onto his face. "Fine." He said, finally giving in. "Well, can I at least more of those special plants for my face cream?" He asked. "I guess it would be better than, seeing the lions."
Honerva sighed, almost annoyedly. "Fine. But know it will be at least a 3 quintant journey. You'll have to fend for yourself while I am gone."
Lance let himself give a small, forced smile. "I can handle myself. I'll just play video games all day..."
It was barely a varga before Honerva disappeared out of the tower. Lance chuckled sadly, realizing how bored he was going to be all alone, and not meeting any ladies any time soon. Little did he know, he wouldn't be alone for long.

Pidge let her tiny legs carry her back to the pillar so she could grab her bayard, and continued her run into the forest, still being pursued.
"Can't you guys just hold for a second so I can think!" She shouted annoyedly. She looked around herself for some sort of way out of this situation. Her eyes quickly noticed a small opening in the rocks hidden by plants. Her ever prominent smirk returned and she quickly rolled through the plants and into the opening. She watched smugly as the guards passed, not knowing where she had gone. She let out a little victory laugh when she knew they were out of range. She then looked at the chip in her hand with joy. This was the first step in letting her dream come true.
She slumped against the rocks behind her to try to catch her breath but the rocks suddenly collapsed, revealing a secret opening. Her curiosity quickly overwhelmed her and she decided to crawl through and saw a magnificent tower.
"Wow. Look at that spectacular engineering!" She squealed looking up at it.
In excitement and curiosity, she shot her grappling hook to the top of the tower and it quickly pulled her up to the top. She crawled through the top window and was startled by what she saw. A man, with really really long hair.
He looked just as startled for a second then grinned. "Well hello cute little boy. Are y-" he started, and she quickly brought out her bayard and shocked him with it.
"I guess I am pretty cute." She said glaring at him as he was doubling over in pain from the shock.
"Wow a complete stranger and how does he welcome me? With a shock." Lance muttered to himself. Maybe Honerva was right about people.
"Who are you?"
