Pidge coughed and groaned as she fell over in pain. Her side was burning and her hands were wet with blood. Lance watched in worry and pain.

"Now look what you did Lance." Honerva said, dropping the knife to the ground. She took a step over Pidge's frail body as if nothing was there. "Don't worry Lance sweetie, when she dies, our secret will be safe." Lance's eyes went wide as he immediately started to struggle harder from his chains. He needed to hold her. He needed to help her.

Honerva grinned evilly at him. "I'm going to take you somewhere no one will ever find you or your power ever again." She grabbed onto the chain, unhooking it from the wall. She started dragging him toward the small trapdoor he hadn't known was there for all his life. Pidge continued clutching her injured side with one hand and with pained groans, tried to crawl over to help him. Lance squirmed more then ever, trying to run to Pidge. Honerva was way stronger then he ever expected.

"Stop struggling. You will be out of harm's way soon." Honerva promised, tugging at the chain again. Lance's blood boiled and he launched himself forward with all his strength, breaking from her grasp.

"No. I'll always be in harm's way when I'm with you. I'll never stop struggling!" Lance said ever so defiantly. Honerva glared at him with eyes that looked ready to kill, bright and yellow. Lance should've been afraid but was too full of adrenaline. He paused.

"Unless you let me heal her." Lance pleaded. Honerva still seemed angry but her eyes returned to normal slightly. Lance continued. "I'll never try to escape, never ask for anything. Just. Please. Let. Me. Heal. Her." Honerva seemed to be thinking. Lance stared at her with big, pleading blue eyes. "If you really love me, you'll let me save her."

Honerva looked conflicted but eventually bent down to unchain Lance's arms. She then used the same chain to confine the moaning Pidge, declaring that if she had any idea of following them she'd zap her of all her quintessence. Pidge was too in pain and worried about Lance to worry about the threat.

Lance suddenly ran to her, quickly falling to his knees. "It's going to be okay Pidge." He promised.

Pidge let out a weak groan. "No Lance. Don't- Don't do this." Her voice was so broken.

"You're talking crazy. It's going to be okay. I'm going to save you." Lance promised, pulling his hair out to wrap it around her stab wound.

Pidge winced, trying to think. He couldn't do this. He couldn't give up everything to save her. Her arm extended out and she felt the handle of the knife blush against her fingers. She cautiously grabbed it, pulling it toward her. Lance didn't notice. He was to busy fiddling with his hair and mumbling about her.

"Lance-" Pidge said with all the strength she could muster. Her hand reached up to gently move his hair and caress his face. "Yes?" Lance replied, confused and worried.

Pidge started to lean in and Lance immediately thought he understood. He instinctively started to lean in too, though his brain was telling him he was running out of time. Their lips were about to meet when Pidge pulled out the knife, cutting Lance's hair clean through. Lance's eyes went wide as his hair slowly started to turned white.

Honerva screamed. "No! No! How dare you! My quintessence. You- you killed it!" Honerva said, desperately trying to grab the dead hair that was loosing its color as well. She looked around the room conflicted, flustered and in pain. She had been so dependent on the quintessence that Lance was giving her that now that it was gone- She was dying, shriveling and getting weaker by the second. She stumbled backwards, falling out the window. Lance watched, unsure what emotions were flooding through him. Yes, she was a witch but he had also raised him-

It didn't matter. Pidge was dying. He turned to the small girl, tears starting to fill his eyes. What could he do? He started desperately singing the song, hoping for some sort of miracle to happen.

"Lance-" Pidge's voice barely whispered. Lance stopped, pulling her closer to him. "Yes querida?" He asked his voice sweet but worried.

"You- You were my new dream." Pidge said quietly with whatever smile she could muster. That comment made Lance's eyes wet even more.

"And you were mine..." He replied. That's when Pidge's head fell limp in his arms. He gently laid her down, tears flooding his eyes. This couldn't be. She couldn't be-

Lance started desperately singing the song again. The song that would've healed her. He cried, staring at her silent face. His tears fell on her cheeks and chin and he was going to wipe them off when he noticed something odd about them. They were... glowing; A brilliant blue. Lance stared at the light, confused.

Pidge suddenly started coughing and sputtering. Lance wasn't sure what to think so he just stared at her and pulled her up slightly as she started to stir. Lance's eyes flickered to her side. The cut that once bloodied her clothes was gone along with the blood. He looked back to her face. Her eyelids slowly lifted and Lance didn't realize how much he had already missed her amber eyes.

"Hey look... our hair matches." Pidge said tiredly, her limp arm trying to go to touch the ends of his hair. Lance chuckled slightly taking her hand and pulling her closer to him. "And these are new." She said, brushing a soft hand against his cheek. Little blue marks were just under his eyes, the same color as the glowing light from before.

Lance wasn't sure how to respond when he suddenly felt Pidge slowly pull his face closer and placed her lips to his. He was surprised at first but his eyes closed and he kissed her back.

He pulled her closer to him and Pidge gently touched the tips of his shorter hair. They broke away, hearing a cough that wasn't their own. They both turned to see Matt standing by the window. His face was still red from excursion and possibly slightly embarrassed for stumbling into something he probably shouldn't have.

"Matt!" Pidge called sitting up slightly, her cheeks pink.

Matt awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck. "I heard shouting and got worried so I tried to climb up the tower. It took me a while and I guess everything's good now...?"

Lance sighed dreamily. "Everything's great now." He stared at Pidge. She rolled her eyes but her cheeks did darken slightly.

"What I don't get is how did you heal my stab wound?" Pidge said. "I cut your magic hair off and-"

"You were stabbed?!" Matt said worriedly, walking quickly over to Pidge's side.

"Yeah-" Lance said solemly. He looked between Pidge and Matt as he explained. "I- I was crying. And singing and my tears... maybe they have the same magic as my hair did?" He questioned. Matt looked utterly confused but felt like it wasn't the right time or place to ask.

Pidge lit up. "It might have something to do with your new markings! We have to test this!" She shouted, and standing up enthusiastically from her seat. She immediately started coughing afterward. Lance and Matt both instinctively moved toward her to make sure she was okay.

"You're still a little weak." Lance said, gently pulling her back to the floor.

"Who you calling weak?" Pidge asked defiantly, folding her arms. Matt chuckled. "She's a fighter Lance. She can handle it."

Lance smiled slightly. "I know. But anyone who just got stabbed still needs to rest it off. Even if healed by magic tears." He said staring at the little pidgeon.

She rolled her eyes. "Yeah. Whatever." She said, pretending to be annoyed but really a large lopsided grin filled her face. Then, she suddenly smacked Lance in the arm.

"What was that for?" Lance said, rubbing his arm slightly.

"That was for being so stupid and risking your life for mine. Don't ever do that again." She ordered. Lance slouched slightly where he sat, like a child who got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Then, to his utter surprise again, her lips gently pecked his cheek.

"And that was for saving me."
