Lance's face was pink and Pidge's was too.

Matt coughed in the corner, trying to gain their attention. Pidge and Lance turned to look at him, and he was smiling and were those- happy tears tempting their way out of his eyes? They couldn't tell.

"Well, we should probably get going." He said before stepping over the window ledge, and carefully swinging himself over.

Lance's face lit up as he remembered something. Something very important. "Of course, because how great would it be if Altea's most wanted was the one to escort the lost adoptive prince home." He said with a mischievous grin.

Pidge looked at him with confusion and unbelief. Matt stopped in his attempt to climb down. "What are you talking about?" Matt asked from the window.

Lance stepped toward the desk with papers filling the drawers. "I found Honerva's journals. She kidnapped me." He explained, handing Pidge the journal entry to read.

Pidge read and her emotions were everywhere, starting with disbelief. "You're the prince?!" She said, looking up as Lance.

He nodded confidently. "I mean it makes sense with my dashing good looks and everything." He said in an overdramatic manner.

Pidge rolled her eyes. "Whatever." Even if she didn't want to admit it out loud, she agreed. She looked down at the paper again. "It makes sense I suppose." She said with a hint of excitement in her voice. She folded up the papers and tucked them in her pocket. "Well, lets get going then." She said even more excited.

Lance grinned, seeing Pidge excited about everything again. He followed behind her as they found a rope to climb down with.

"What happened to Honerva anyway?" Pidge asked as she climbed down the rope after Lance.

"Oh, she fell out the window." Lance said nonchalantly.

"What?!" Pidge and Matt said with surprise. Lance shrugged as he helped Pidge and Matt onto the ground.

They started walking through the trees calmly. Lance's mind was racing. Pidge had kissed him. And saved him. He found himself blushing and sheepishly scratching the back of his head as they walked. Then he remembered, she did leave him in the boat just the night before. Why?

"Hey Pidge." Lance started shyly. "Last night, you just left me to go to that island. I just want to know why- Were you really trying to run off with the chip. Or-"

Pidge grinned as Matt took a step backward, knowing he probably didn't need to interject into this conversation. "I was totally intending to come back if that's what you want to hear." She took a step closer to him. "I wouldn't up and leave you like that."

"But why did you go then?" Lance asked.

"I thought I saw Matt-" Pidge started before her eyes went wide in realization. She turned to look at her brother. "Were you on that island last night?"

Matt just looked confused. "The only place I was last night was the Snuggly Duckling." Matt confirmed.

Pidge sighed. "I thought-"

"It was probably Honerva, playing a trick on you. She obviously wanted to lure you away from me." Lance interjected sadly.

"Well, I guess it worked..." Pidge said looking at her feet, and Lance frowned ever so slightly. Then, Pidge grabbed Lance's hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze. "But I'm back now aren't I." Lance smiled, pulling her closing to peck a soft kiss on her head. They then continued walking.

"Hey, are you ready to go meet your family? I've heard your Adoptive sister is gorgeous and sweet. Allura I think her name is. I've never formally met her. I've just never been invited to visit the royal family, being a wanted thief and all." She said jokingly.

Lance looks down at his feet and sheepishly scratches the back of his head. "I don't think I'm ready. My whole life I thought my only family was Honerva... I don't know if my brain can handle it."

"Don't worry. You got this." Pidge said encouragingly, flashing him a lopsided grin. He found himself mirroring her facial expression.

"Look, there's the city!" Matt called, stepping forward slightly to lead the way. The others followed closely behind. Pidge  looked around warily, out of habit of being spotted. They needed some sort of plan. Were they just going to waltz up to the castle and tell them that their long lost prince was found? The small one's thinking was immediately cut off when she felt herself tackled to the ground. She didn't even notice that had approached the castle and castle guards were surrounding her, Lance and Matt.

"Welcome back." One of the guard's taunted, dragging the convict to her feet. Pidge so wanted to bite him like she had with other guards but that wasn't going to help her in the slightest. "Can you just listen for a second! I'm not here to fight!" Pidge said loudly, forcing herself to not struggle.

"Oh sure. You just are upset you got caught again. Well, Varkon is not going to let you go that easily!" The large guard declared, squeezing tighter on her arm. Pidge just rolled her eyes.

"Let her go!" Lance and Matt said in unison, both standing confidently in front of the guard. Pidge noticed the grip on her arm loosen slightly and looked at the guards face out of confusion. The look on his face was utter surprise.

"Who are you. And why do you have the Altean Marks!" The guard said gesturing to Lance's blue marks. Lance just looked on, confused. "What are you talking about?"

Pidge tried to move slightly, but Varkon's grip had tightened slightly again. "He's talking about your blue marks, their the mark of the royals here." Lance felt shocked and his hand instinctively went up to his cheek.

"Exactly. Because this man is the Lost Prince!" Matt announced ceremoniously. Varkon was so shocked he let go of Pidge completely.

"I found him, and wanted to return him home, to repay all I've done to the kingdom." Pidge said sheepishly. Lance slowly went to grab her hand and give it a reassuring squeeze and Varkon didn't seem to notice. He was too excited, and had pulled out some sort of communication device.

The next moment Lance, Pidge and Matt were riding in a carriage into the castle. The clomp of hooves outside the carriage stopped and the group got out with their hands sweating and hearts beating. This time, Pidge took Lance's hand. They just stood there, told to wait. Soon later a beautiful girl with long white hair came walking out toward them, followed by a man with white hair.

Pidge leaned over to Lance and whispered. "That's Allura. Your adoptive sister. And King Alfor." Lance took a nervous gulp.

"Lance?" Allura called out cautiously with a beautiful british accent. She soon started running, enveloping him in a hug. Soon, Alfor joined as well as many other servants and cousins and nieces and nephews. The ridiculously huge smile on Lance's face made Pidge's heart skip with happiness. Suddenly, she felt her and Matt being pulled into the hug by Allura as well.

And all was at peace.

Author's Note:

Hiya all! Here is the end of this story! I hope you enjoyed the whole thing as much as I did. It was so much fun to write and so fun to read some of y'alls comments. I know this chapter isn't the best because it was really rushed. I really wanted to release the end of it but I've had no inspiration or motivation because I haven't watched Voltron in so long so... Yeah. But this being my first full-length fic has really been an adventure and I'm happy those who are reading this got to take it with me. Thank you
