The Grand Birthday Ball (Luna's/Lunar's POV)

Lunar's POV

So the day of the ball has come, plus it's Luna's and my birthday. She seems to be really excited about it being our birthday. I think it's because of everything that's been happening lately. She's probably just glad that today is her day to finally relax and not have to deal with anything. I'm kinda calm about everything and it's worrying everyone. They keep asking me if i'm alright and if i still want to celebrate my birthday. I just reply with yes to both and then walk away. Truthfully i don't really wanna have a big ball and such but Luna does so i agreed. I wanna keep her happy and smiling.

Anyways though, we are all getting ready. Marshall, Gumball, and me are all in their bedroom. I feel kinda weird being in two grown gay men's room. Plus it doesn't help that they are making out in the corner and who knows what their making out leads to.

I grab a random stuffed animal off the ground and throw it in their direction. It hits them in the face but they just keep sucking each other's faces off.  So I casually walk over till i'm two feet away from them and then i clear my throat in attempt to get their attention off the other's face. They don't show any signs of noticing me or stopping. So I begin to float over them poking their faces which doesn't work either.

"Hey you two wanna stop sucking on each other's faces and help me get ready for tonight. I need to look good for Luna and I thought fathers we're very strict on how they're only daughter's boyfriend is suppose to look." I say floating around them. Still getting nothing from them. So i pull out my phone and text Luna to come break up her dads. A few seconds later I hear Luna's foot steps stomping down the hall before barging in. She angrily marches over to them.

"Hey you need to stop sucking face and help my boyfriend get ready for tonight." She says as she violently shoves them away from each other. They look confused at Luna as she walks back towards the door past me. "I would have thought they would be more stricter on how you look." she says as she passes me. i give her a 'I know right' look as she leaves and slams the door behind her. 

They both look at me now. Gumball is kinda blushing from embarrassment and Marshall looks still confused about what just happened. I stop floating and return to standing. "So.....Do I look presentable and worthy of your amazingly gorgeous daughter?" I ask trying to break the awkwardness in the air. They both inspect me with their eyes before they set to work on making me look handsome and presentable. 

Gumball combs and styles my hair. Which is pointless cause Luna is just gonna ruffle it up later like she usually does. She hates when my hair is styled and always says it looks much better messy like the way it naturally looks without anything in it. Marshall Just fixes my tie or at least he tries to but fails so Gumball has to do it. 

"There you look just handsome enough for our Luna and for tonight." Gumball says after they are done perfecting me. They're both smiling at me. "I'm glad she's got someone like you." Gumball says with a tear in his eye. Marshall rolls his eyes at Gumball and walks into the bathroom.

"Thanks, Gumball. I'm just glad that I am lucky enough to be her first love. Also i'm glad that she chose me and hasn't gotten sick of me yet. She is just an amazing girl and I feel so lucky to be the one who gets to hold her hand and call her mine." I say as I see him wipe a tear away.

"Sorry for the water works Lunar I'm just so happy about everything like that my little princess is turning 16 and that she has a great guy like you as a boyfriend." Gumball says. I walk over and give him a hug in hopes it will help him stop crying but it doesn't he just cries more into my shoulder. 

Marshall comes back out and freezes in his tracks. "What's going on?" he looks concerned and puzzled.

Gumball releases me from his grip and wipes the last of his tears away. "Oh i'm just getting emotional over today." 

I hear a knock on the bedroom door before Luna walks in. I take in how she looks and go speechless. She does a twirl and asks how she looks. I finally start to regain my ability to speak. "You....I......Wow.....Gosh you're pretty" I stutter out my words as I keep taking in her beauty. She's got a beautiful purple strapless dress that makes her eyes look so amazing and sparkle. Her hair is in a perfect bun with a few little strands hanging free but it still looks amazing. I take a deep breath and talk again. "Have I ever told you that you're really gorgeous?" 

She giggles a little and blushes at me. "I think you have a few hundred times before." she replies to me with a smile that shows off her bright white shark-like teeth. "Are you almost done drooling over me? If you are then can we leave already?" she asks putting her hands on her hips. 

"Where are you two going?" Marshall asks us as I walk over and grab Luna's hand.

"We are gonna go for a walk before the ball starts." Luna replies before we walk out of the room. We hear him yell for us to have fun and be safe. 

When we get outside we start to walk towards the forest. 

Luna's POV 

The forest looks so pretty this afternoon. Since it's darker in there then the rest of Aaa there are fireflies glowing and floating around. It's so romantic and beautiful that it makes me wish i could just take a picture but no photograph could gather all this beauty and magic at this moment in time.

I let go of Lunar's hand and quickly hurry over towards a tree to catch a firefly. Before I can get my hands close to it, it flies away. Oh well i think to myself as i watch it fly it fly away and up into the trees. 

For the next half hour we spend trying to catch fireflies. 

"We should head back now." Lunar says checking the time on his phone. 

"alright" I reply as he grabs my hand and we head back to the castle. We pass through the garden where I see Bubblegum and Marceline slow dancing with their foreheads resting against eachother. I guess what i had told them earlier helped them get back together. I'm glad Bubblegum actually took my advice. I knew Marceline would but i didn't know about PB. 

We finally get inside the castle and to the ballroom. It looks like everyone in all of Aaa and Ooo are here. I hear Lunar's and my name get called and we walk over to the little stage that someone made for tonight. Everyone claps and we wave. Then Marshall puts on a song that Lunar and me go slow dance to.

I think the song is 'All About Us'. It's a great song and it fits how i am feeling right now. 

"You look so gorgeous tonight Luna and i'm not just saying that. I really do think your gorgeous and amazing." Lunar says Looking into my eyes. "You're eyes are sparkling right now and I love it."

I blush and reply with a smile. "Thank you and i think you look handsome except for one thing." I ruffle up his hair and make it look messy. "There, now you look perfect."

"I knew you were gonna do that sometime tonight." He says with a smile.

We dance to a few more song in silence until Lunar says something. "Luna, I think i'm in love with you." 

"I think i'm in love with you too Lunar." I say with smile

He smiles back before closing his eyes and kissing me. I close my eyes and kiss him back. This night could have not ended any better.
