This leg of the jounrey seemed nice and rather laid back. We were soaking wet, everyone was in good spirits, and the sun was drying me off while the breeze kept me cold. At this point in time Juli got to meet my boyfriend for a brief moment and was given my secret weapon: TUMS. It sounds strange but those antacids were a blessing! I got a kiss from Mike and headed off with Juli again toward the next two obstacles, that were placed almost side by side. Obstacle # 5 Cliff Hanger: a 40+ foot cliff of slippery mud angled at 45-degrees. I still don’t believe it was 40 feet but it could have been. All I know is that they had dug a trench at the bottom, filled it with mud and water, made it wide enough that you couldn’t jump it and I helped shove Juli up and onto the cliff wall itself, then hopped up and scrambled up the face of it with her. I will say it now, and might repeat myself later, but I LOVE playing in the dirt!
