The turn of events took place very fast. It was as if everything was falling into place.
"Chetan, I've solved this mystery " entered Myra into his office.
"Please tell me?" He said eagerly.
"Your accountant was stealing money as we had concluded previously, and I also have a proof for the same. "
"Show me?" He read the files.
"He has been stealing from 3 months, the same time Rita's mother was diagnosed with cancer, these are her files".
She kept them as well.
"So you mean to say he stole from me, but I fail to understand why did the briefcase come to my office?"
"Rita wanted to pay him back, so she manipulated the contractor and changed everything. She convinced him your company is better for the project and he left the money with her". She replied.
"Oh God! It's such a mess", he said.
"Yes, she borrowed my jacket that day she wasn't feeling well. So Lucy saw her and blamed me for stealing".
"Let's fix a meeting with Nitin right now!" He said excitedly.
"Sure. But my work is done here, you can explain everything to him. If you would allow me, I would like to take your leave", she requested.
Chetan seemed to understand and granted her the day off.
