Chanyeol has a secret. In a bubble with texts that float above people's heads, he can see their thoughts and feelings. It's written in their very own handwriting too, and Chanyeol has read that handwriting can help to define a person's personality.
He doesn't know when it all started, but he knows he thought he was delusional at first. However, later on, he came to accept it. He thought it was actually pretty cool.
And he felt that it was a blessing. It was very helpful, in his opinion. It let him know what some people honestly were on the inside and from then on who to avoid. He could tell when he had girls thinking dirty thoughts about him, when his teacher was planning the next pop quiz, and even when his friends were planning to prank him.
But it's starting to get boring for him.
Everybody in this generation is all thinking about the same thing.
He passes by girls his age with crop tops and skimpy clothes. Are they even considered clothes anymore? They're showing more skin than sumo wrestlers. What's the point of a shirt when it's that short and doesn't cover anything?
He's thankful he doesn't have a girlfriend he needs to deal with. Hearing their thoughts, he's already uncomfortable.

It's disgusting and boring. Everyday he sees the same thoughts. Technology, social media, work, school.. Nobody is quite out of the box and capturing his attention. He's heard his fair share of weird thoughts and all but he's generally quite immune to it now, and everything is just plain in his eyes.
He sighs and settles down on the bench with his coffee, sipping it slowly so he doesn't burn his tongue. He stares at the passing people, watching some young girls chat together excitedly, shopping bags in hand.
Realizing he probably looks like a pedophile, he briefly turns to look at his left. And he can almost feel his breath being ripped right out of his chest as he chokes on his coffee.
He coughs and splutters loudly, gasping as he pats his chest. (Doing that gained him some confused looks from nearby people, but he doesn't care. He'd rather look stupid than die while acting cool.)
It's a boy, with fluffy brown hair and a book. He's not texting on his phone, no. Just a book. But it's also closed and placed on his lap.
Instead, he's just looking up and staring at the sky soullessly. His face is void of emotion. It's weird, but Chanyeol doesn't mind. He likes the change.
Wondering what the boy is thinking about, he looks up to the thought bubble that should be hovering around his head.
He almost gasps out loud, because when he turns to check it, it's empty at first sight. It's a shock, because he's so used to seeing large text, and the bubble he's currently looking at now is almost blank.
But squinting hard, he notices it. The text is small, meaning the boy's handwriting is miniature. Chanyeol knows that smaller handwriting means someone is more introverted and soft spoken.
