Chapter 12 - Happiness

"yay!..... I really can't believe that I am finally going to learn how to play the piano!", Liz was screaming inside her mind out of excitement. "Miss Scarlet can you hear me!? Miss Scarlet!", the teacher who was rather annoyed had come over to Liz's desk and was now calling her. "oh! oh! sorry!...... so two times two is twenty two", Liz smiled politely as she answered and the others started to laugh their heads off. confused she looked but a bit pissed off their teacher looked. "Silence", she roared and the entire class became so quiet that even the slightest of sounds could be heard. The teacher continued, "Miss scarlet are you gonna pay attention from now on or are you gonna step out of class and continue wondering off in your dreamland?!", the teacher shouted. quite broken was Liz from the inside but rage was filling within her as well. She kept it all inside and manged to say, "I'm sorry and I'll pay attention", "good, cuz I don't want to see your grades falling off. You are a blessed child with a bright future Liz so keep that in mind and don't let any distractions take over you", the teacher continued a bit satisfied with Liz's answer. "yes, ma'am", replied Liz as the teacher went back in front of class and continued the lesson.

Class ended a few minutes later as both Sapphire and Zaiina gathered around Liz's table. "Liz what happened?!", both exclaimed. "No, nothing.... I was just thinking about something when the teacher must have noticed me wonder off......", "yeah right again?! This isn't something which happens usually. Is something bugging you these days?", sapphire asked a bit concerned. "oh god guys! don't worry I'm fine. Actually I'm better than ever. So quit worrying about me and let's just head over to our next class.

After another long 5 hours school finally ended. "Bye guys see ya tomorrow", said Liz. Confused her friends looked. "Liz really, what on earth is going on. there are too many unusual stuff. first you never wonder off during class but these days you get caught every single period and second you rarely stay after school and that too if it's extra lessons only and today we don't have any and you are saying that you are going to stay after school out of the blue", complained Zaiina. "Wow you really know me don't you? well nothing special is up. Really.......", Liz replied.  "oh OK then why are you staying after school then?", both questioned. "oh.........well there isn't going to be anyone at home today so my dad told me to stay here till he comes and picks me up", she answered. "oh OK then if that's the case..... shall I stay with you? I don't have anything today evening," asked Zaiina. "NO!", replied Liz immediately. "OK..........?", Zaiina answered a bit confused. "No really please don't waste your time on me. You really should get going now", replied Liz. "OK OK fine, we'll leave. See ya tomorrow then. Bye", both of then left as soon as they waved good bye to her.

Liz soon arrived at the classroom door. As she snuck her head through the door she saw that the whole room was empty except Jeoen who was now at the piano. "Oh Lizana! You came!", he sounded a bit excited. "Yes of course I came! Did you think that I wouldn't have?", she asked suspiciously. "oh no......don't misunderstand", he said laughing. "OK so first have a seat and then we'll get on with it", he offered and Liz sat beside him a bit awkward. 

"ahhhhhhhhhh! what am I even doing?! Sitting next to a boy? Am I nuts?! ughhhh..... What to do I asked for this but I never thought it to be this uncomfortable. hoof......calm down. calm down. everything will be normal in a few minutes. It really does feel weird, this is my first time talking with a boy properly afterall. I'l really have to get used to these kind of stuff. oh?! Did he notice me? Sorry..........but what to do"

"oh god........she seems pretty nervous.....I guess I should start talking", Jeoen thought as he started to speak. "soo Lizan-", "call me Liz", "Oh OK. So Liz you are in 9th grade aren't you?", "yeah I am..... how do you know?", "lucky guess!", after Jeoen replied both started laughing. "well how about you?", asked Liz. "oh me..... I'm in 10th", "ohh explains a lot about why we haven't seen each other during school before. You are in the other building aren't you?", "yeah", after a few minutes of more chit chatting Jeoen finally announced, "well then shall we get started?", Liz nodded. "first watch me carefully on how I play the usual melody and then we'll first learn the basics of playing piano and then some scales and finally let's start playing this melody as your 1st piece. For today we'll only do a bit of the basics.......-", "why can't we just start with the melody?", "pouted Liz", "well we first have to at least learn a bit of the basic before learning a piece or else you'll seriously end up having loads of trouble. "oh come on basics are boring..... I wanna piece to learn", Liz kept on pouting as she begged. "oh god now I really can understand how Mian must have felt while teaching me", he sighed but with his soft smile. "why?.....", she asked. "no nothing.... please Liz at least the basics?", "OK fine", she answered annoyed. "finally!", he said as his fingers started running through the key board as Liz observed carefully...... he glimpsed at her from time to time exchanging his soft smiles with her bright ones.

"He looked majestic while playing.........wait no......actually I haven't got any words to explain how he looked like at the moment. His smiles were softer than cotton and the melody played by his own bare hands was no different. I wish this moment could stay frozen forever.......... surprisingly other than my time with my sisters I was finally happy after years........"
