Step 2 : Know your theme
Okay, so you have proper knowledge of your language and now you want to start writing a song. But about what? Love? Heartbreak? Break up? Friendship? Missing a loved one? Crush?
You must know what exactly you are writing about. You can't just write anything random, though I do think there are some random songs. One example of a random song is "Who let the dogs out?", Have you listened to it? The lyrics are absolutely non-sense, but what makes it popular is it's catchy tune and the video. So if you are writing a random song, make sure it's tune is catchy and nice (We'll get to that later). But I suggest you to write a good, sensible lyrics which has a theme.
