Today was the day, it was the day that Autumn would truly start her life. Autumn was shaking as she stepped out her parents car, she held tightly onto her cane as she grabbed her bag of luggage. Hearing the voices of other people at the train station made her heart flutter with joy. "Autumn, go straight down and take a left. Then wait there until they call your train." Autumn nodded, too focused on the excitement of going to a real school. "Goodbye Autumn." her father said, "Stay safe dear." Veronica said, tears streaking down her face.

Veronica and Chris got into the car and starting driving away, for once in her life, she was alone. Autumn began following Chris's directions, she stopped when she noticed there was a lot of voices in one area, hoping it was the train line. Autumn was shaking, this was her dream come true, but it was all so sudden and new to her. Autumn waited for a few minutes when a sound similar to scraping metal could be heard. The train conductor called her trains name, The people in the line started pushing to get into the train, her heart began to pound.

Autumn got onto the train, her seat was 2A, but that could be anywhere on the train. Autumn stepped closer to the entrance to the first floor's seats, there was a lady at the entrance to the seats, she gave a slow smile. "Enjoy your ride." Autumn gave her cane a tight squeeze, "Where's seat 2A?" she asked. "Second floor, two seats down from the entrance." she quickly said, as if it was muscle memory. "Oh, um, thanks." Autumn said, spinning around, she heard thumps, and they were getting fainter so that's where Autumn presumed the stairs were. As she touched the rails, she knew it was the stairs.

She began climbing up, she turned to where the entrance of the second floor was. "Enjoy your ride." the attendant said as Autumn handed him the ticket. She counted two seats, and sat down, no one was sitting next to her so that was a good sign, she tired of talking to people today. Autumn gave a slight groan, this was what she wanted right? To go to a school and be out there? Hopefully her school would be better, she thought as she fiddled with her book. It was her favorite book, it was about a disabled guy who finds out about how he became disabled and has to uncover the mystery of what really happened to him.

Of course, it was in braile, she took it out and started on the page she left off on. It was her hundredth time reading it but each time was better then the last. Suddenly a light thump was heard next to her, she felt a spark of annoyance. Someone had obviously sat next to her, maybe if she made no eye contact they wouldn't speak to her. Sure, she wanted to go out and make friends but she was annoyed and exhausted and she wasn't in the mood.

"Hey, what book are you reading?" the girl sitting next to her asked, "My shining steps." Autumn muttered. "Haven't heard of that one, might check it out!" she said, a bright tone to her voice. "Yeah." Autumn mumbled, "Where are you heading? I'm going to see the monument of Fera." she said. "Oh, I'm going to Rosewing Academy." Autumn said, it felt so weird, talking to someone I didn't know, a stranger. "I went there last year, it was good, my younger half brother Andrew is going there this year as well." she said, Autumn nodded slowly.

The train came to a halt, panic flushed over Autumn as Autumn grabbed her cane and held tightly to her seat. "Woah! First time? The train just reached the first station!" she said, slightly chuckling. "What station do you get off?" the lady asked, "Two." Autumn said, "I'm going to three." she said, tapping her fingers on the arm rest. The lady kept talking and talking, Autumn laid her head back, it was going to be a long ride, wasn't it?
