Waking in my bed form the events of the night before was amazing. Of course we didn't just kiss, we talked for awhile (about 3 hours?) about what we actually were. Gaara's words were so different than usual. The way he was gentle and kind, instead of his usual harsh way of speaking.

I walked down the stairs, and suddenly froze.

I was leaving.

I was leaving.

I sped down the stairs. How late was it?! And there they were. All three of the ninjas from the Sand, standing by the door, a few backpacks cluttered around their feet.

"Look who decided to show up." Kankuro snickered.

"What... You're leaving now?!"

"Sorry we didn't want to wake you up. But yeah, Baki will be here in a few minutes so we can go." Temari frowned. I gaped like a fish.

"What? But... It's so early..."

"It's three." Kiba deadpanned from his spot on the couch.

"Yeah, yeah." I waved him off. And right then, there was a knock on the door. We all heard Baki's rough voice from the otherside, grumbling something about "hurry up" and "long way to go."

"C'mere." Temari said. She must have seen the look on my face, which was broken and forlorn. I ran forward and hugged her.

"I won't see you guys in who knows how long...." I pulled away moving to Kankuro to hug him, and hit him when he tried to get pervy.

"Just do what you can." Temari muttered, picking up her bag. "We'll miss you guys." She engaged into a conversation with Kiba, who had stood up to walk over and say goodbye. I took this chance to step over to Gaara.

"I'm sorry." Was all he had to say. I hugged him too, and he actually hugged back.

"Don't be. We both have to leave and... And when I get back I'll visit you guys." I mumbled. He nodded and I pulled away.

"Do what you have to, we'll be there when you get back." A tiny smile pulled at his lips.

"Gaara?" Temari's voice interrupted. We turned to see them all standing, the door open. "Time to go."

He nodded and looked at me before pulling on his own backpack and heading out.

And just like that, they were gone. Headed back home, their real home in their own village.

"Well I guess you need to go to, huh? All alone I suppose." Kiba grinned. "Can't say I mind having a gigantic house to myself, though." He chuckled when I lightly punched his arm.

"You're right. I'll get my stuff." I smiled a little and walked up the stairs, smile disappearing quickly.

Tsunade didn't want me saying bye to everyone. She said it would draw to much unneeded attention to the situation at hand. The village didn't need that, there was enough happening without the drama I was sure to bring. Plus, most of the others I was close to already knew. I would see them around town and tell them. Er... I had already, I guess.

I quickly packed my simple things. Things I would need and most likely wouldn't be able to buy where I was going. Clothes, hairbrush, all that.

I pulled on my backpack and stood up, when something caught my eye. Something wedged behind the edge on the dresser, shining in the dim light. I walked over and picked it up, wiggling it o get it out.
