Chapter ten: See you around
Blake's POV:
I laid there on my bed, waiting for my team to return and to freak out on me.
My thoughts swirled like a storm in my head. Ozpin had giving me a 'mission', it was more like I asked for it. I needed to leave and need to find out some information. It was just...... How do I explain this to my team. They won't understand. I know they won't.
I scribbled my thoughts in a new journal. My old one has become lost, I couldnt find it. It worried me, I didnt want anyone to read my thoughts.
The dorm door busted open, Yang came flying in with Weiss and Ruby trailing after her. Yang stomped over to my bed, grabbing my wrist and pulled me up to face her.
"Where were you? You had us worried! Why won't you tell us anything? We are a team, we look out for each other." Her hands gripped tighter around my wrist. I whimpered.
"Yang, let go. Your hurting her." Ruby placed a hand on her sisters shoulder, Yang shook it off.
"No I want an answer."
I looked at her and them at the rest of my team mates. My eyes lowered. "I can't tell you." I whimpered.
"Why not?" Weiss asked.
"I can't get you guys involved. I don't want you to get hurt." Tears streamed down my face, my bangs hid them. I never wanted them to see me cry. Yang's grip tighten again. I winced.
"Why are you crying?" She asked. I snapped up to look at her. How did she know I was crying? I was very good at hiding my tears.
"How...."
"Blake, Im not stupid. I know when your crying. Even on those sleepless nights where you sobbed, feeling afraid of the world."
More tears fell from my eyes, I wanted to move my hands to my eyes. I couldn't because Yang still gripped my wrist. I was pulled into Yang, she released my wrist and wrapped her arms around me. My head fell into the nook of her neck and shoulder. My tears landing on her, sizzling when touching her skin. She was fired up with her own feelings.
"Blake lets get you something to make you feel better." Weiss said. Ruby jumped.
"Yes lets do that! Yang, Weiss, and me will get you something. Stay here on your bed." Ruby had pulled Yang off of me, and pushed me on my bed. "Stay or you get nothing!" Ruby threatened.
"Ok." I smiled, wiping away the yet trails. Ruby pulled Weiss and Ynag out of the dorm, and shut it. Now it was quiet, as I waited for them to return.
I opened my book and started to read, Ive almost finished the book. Do I really want to finish it? No, not yet. I closed it again and looked around the room. Soon my Faunus cat side got the best of me.....
~time skipped~
"Blakey! Where are you?" Yangs voice rang through my ears. They twitched in annoyance, I wanted to sleep more. I rolled over onto my back, letting my hands fall beside my head, palms up. A flash of white looked at me.
"Blake why are you under your bed? Oh my, are you serious? Your more cat than anything." Weiss giggled.
"Shut up."
Ruby and Yang had laid on the floor with Weiss, looking at me. All of them were giggling.
"Blake your too cute! With you hiding under your bed with blankets, making a nest." Yang gave me a cheeky smile.
"I don't think cats make nest, Yang." Ruby reported.
Yang gave her a wink. "They only make one when they are expecting kittens or when they are in heat."
"Ew Blake... Are you?" Weiss gave me a weird look. I quickly climbed out from under the bed.
"I am not, and please never ask again." I blushed from embarrassment. My team members got off the floor and each handed me a small box.
"Blake open your gifts!" Ruby smiled and sat on my bed looking at me. I sat down near her and opened the one that Ruby had gotten me. Inside was a black cloak that looked similar to hers. "Do you like it? You can be like my twin but in black, not red. That's my color!" I smiled warmly.
"I love it Ruby." I moved to the next gift, it was Weiss's. Lifting the white lid with blue flecks on it, inside was a chain. The chain had each of out sighs on it. Ruby's rose, Weiss's snowflake, my black flame, and Yang's firey heart. I slid the chain out, it formed into a necklace. "Weiss thank you, its beautiful and very thoughtful of you."
"Your welcome, I thought of getting something that shows that we are a team." Weiss smiled, she cocked her head and grinned at Yang. Yang rolled her eyes.
"Mine next!" Yang flopped on my bed next to me. Weiss stomped over and sat on the other side of me. I started to open the yellow box that had a black bow wrapped around it. Pulling off the bow slowly not wanting to damage it, then the lid. I pulled out a purplish/ blackish bow. I held it in my hands, ears twitched wanting the bow on them. "Put it on!" Yang ordered. I nodded. My hands reached up and pulled my black bow off. My ears twitched and moved. My team mates watched me as I changed my bow. With the new bow wrapped around my ears, hiding them.
"How does it look?" I asked.
"Freaking cute!" Yang blurted out.
Ruby was smiling at Weiss waiting for her to say something. "It looks good." Weiss managed to say.
"Thank you, all of you." I smiled looking at my new gifts. I never had anything this nice when I was in the White Fang. I tried not to focus on it, I looked up and saw Yang wrestling her sister. Weiss was yelling at them, everything was normal. I smiled, feeling small drops on my checks. This will be my last moment with them for a long time, its pained me. Biting my lip, I clipped the necklace that Weiss had gotten me and placed the black cloak around my shoulders. I will cherish my gifts for as long as I live.
