Waking up at eleven on Saturday is the best feeling in the entire world. Today I have no idea what is going to happen. I have no desire to get out of the warm cocoon I've made. I decided to just fall back asleep and wake when I'm needed.  That's until Melanie comes in with a pot and spoon and starts banging it all around.

“Get up! The days wasting, you sleep too damn much!"

She yells by my head. I groan and scream into the pillow while she's gone. Why can't we just have a regular Saturday and relax?  I reluctantly get out of bed and go shower. I take the usual time and go get dressed. I chose a simple purple tee shirt, light washed jeans and flats. Probably gonna be my girliest outfit all year. I smiled to my self that I actually looked feminine enough for Melanie's liking.

“Good  morning, where are we going today"

“The mall, to get some clothes for you and Ally for school."

“Oh ok."  With that I stopped talking to my dad and head downstairs to eat.  Unlike all the other girls in the world who would jump at the chance to get free clothes. I rather not, I like to know exactly what I need to get and leave. Then again I do like it sometimes because my friends go to the mall a lot and I see them, then hang out with them. Not a typical girl if you couldn't already tell.

I walk into the kitchen and pour myself a bowl of Fruity Pebbles.  The milk first, obviously, then the cereal. Yeah I know I'm weird like that, but seriously who likes soggy cereal.  When I finish I go into he living room and read my current book.

I seriously think I should have been born a guy. I get ready at the speed of light compared to my mom and sisters. By the time I look at the clock it's twelve thirty. What a waste of time, I could have been sleeping for fucks sake!

“Lets go it's twelve thirty already!"

Melanie yells. Pulling me out of my imagination. How rude. She's the one who took the longest to get ready. We all pile into the car and head to the mall.

The ride is filled with  a mix of  mainstream pop music and salsa music. I just plug my headphones in and listen to Fall Out Boy's newest song Centuries. (Which is amazing just saying.) Also All Time Low. I stare out the window while we pass building after building and see people driving. Too long after we get there and head inside. Ally starts talking. about all the stores she wants to go to. Melanie joining in and saying where we have to go with Abby.  I just stand behind all of them listening to Dear Maria Count Me In. Nobody acknowledges me while I listen to my music, they just go on with there walking and talking. Honestly I don't have any problems with that, as long as you don't  disrupt my music flow.

We go to Macy's first. I don't like name brand stores. Ally, Abby and Melanie drag me in to the teens section. I look through racks upon racks of clothes and find a couple shirts. Mostly dark colors and lace. Which is my style anyways. I came across a dress. It was pink and had flowers. They were dark colors so you didn't really notice the pink. It was tight on the top and puffed out a little bit, on the bottom. I loved it and Christmas would be perfect to wear it to. I didn't pick it up at first just looked. Melanie would never like it. She will say its too childish and convince my dad it was ugly too. So I just left it there. There is no point in trying to convince her. I walked into the dressing room by myself and tried everything on. I really did hate trying on clothes considering I took no longer than a couple minutes. I did like two of the shirts and three of the jeans. I kept those and dropped the others in the clothes basket. Habging up was the dress again. I looked at it for a few seconds. It was my size and everything.
