I kind of realize now that I really do fit in nowhere. I go to class. Do my homework. Talk to people I call friends and go home. I follow my parents rules and listen to my sisters. I don't have a real social group. I don't fit in with the popular, or jocks. Im not smart enough for the nerds and geeks. I'm not a gamer girl and skateboarder. I am definetly not a pot head. I don't fit the subscription of a ghetto princess or uptown city rat.
I'm just me.
Its weird to think about. I'm weird and sarcastic. I can be gamer if I wanted to, but talking about all the time repulsed me. I'm not that athletic and I hate talking about people behind there backs. Its just always been weird to call people my friends. My thoughts are cut short by Kristen coming up to me.
"Hey, what are you thinking about?" She says while sitting next to me.
"Just this test I have seventh period. Its gonna kill me. Well my average." I laughed.
"Oh for Ms. Thompson?"
"Yeah, did you take it?"
"Yeah it was pretty easy-"
"But your a good student and don't need to study." I cut her off.
Rolling her eyes she laughed.
"Ha ha so funny."
"Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all day." I clapped and chuckled.
"Oh shut up." She stuck her tounge out at me.
"Oh god, you're such a child." I rolled my eyes.
"I'm gonna go get somthing."
I didn't really say it to anyone impaticular, just so they know where I'm at. I walked down the long bright hallway to the snack line. I smiled at the people passing and said "hey" to the ones I knew. I get what I needed and start heading back, admireing the pictures on the walls.
"No way, Will is so much cuter and smarter." Sarah states.
Now the table is in a heated debate on whether the captain of the baseball team, Will, is hotter than the j.v. quaterback, which was Mateo.
"But Mateo's eyes are to die for."
Amanda, the new girl at our table, defended.
"What do you think, Scar?"
"Um... I guess they're both-"
I was cut off by someone clearing their throat, gaining everyone's attention.
" I think we all know who Scar is gonna pick."
He said with a cocky attitude and side smirk. His little entourage was behind him which included Erik, Nick, a couple, I didn't know and their newest member, Mason.
"Really, Mateo and who exactly would I pick." I crossed my arms and cocked my head to the side.
"You should know, I'm not gonna speak for you." He challenged.
I rolled my eyes and laughed at his statement. He leaned against the table. Proping his hands down between Sara and Amanda.
"Don't you remember? Seventh grade? The whole grade was talking about it." He smirked.
I stood up like he did, leaning in towards him, our faces about a foot apart.
"Don't let your ego get the best of you." I laughed
"Never have and never will like you, Matt. Get over yourself, why would I go for such an egotistical jerk, like yourself."
I herd a series of "ohs" and "burn". But they sounded like they came from other tables. Turns out, my table wasn't the only one listening. I lean foward, our faces twelve inches a part.
