"Why don't we all take a seat in the living room?" Leonardo suggested as they all went to the living room. One family sat on one couch and the other on the other facing each other.
"Did you tell Kimberly?" Lucius asked staring at the girl. Draco hadn't taken his eyes off of her since he saw her.
"Tell me what?" Kimberly asked her parents as she stared at everyone with a puzzled look.
Mary grabbed her daughters hand. "Darling, we have arranged you to get married to-."
"Me," Draco cut her off.
"What?" Kimberly shouted and stood from the couch.
"We want to keep the Slytherin bloodline going," Narcissa said nicely.
"Do you agree with this?" Kimberly asked Draco. She pointed her finger at them. "You do realize that blood status doesn't matter anymore."
"It still matters to us," he told her.
"Mother, is there anyway out of this?" she asked her mother in hopes she'd be able to get her out of it.
Leonardo laughed. "It was your mother's idea."
"This can't be happening," she yelled and ran off. She ran upstairs and went into her room, slamming the door shut with her wand that sat on the desk.
She laid on her bed with a huff. She created her Patronus. "Expecto patronum," she whispered and with a flick of the wrist, a large magical blue wolf ran around the room.
It disappeared when someone knocked on the door. She ignored it in till they knocked again and again, and again.
"Who is it?" Kimberly called out.
It was silence at first. "It's me, Draco. They thought it'd be best if I came up due to them being scared you might hex them."
She laughed a little. "You're not wrong," she told him.
"May I come in?" he asked politely.
"I guess," she mumbled as she used her wand to open the door. He stood in the doorway and slowly stepped into the room.
"Do you like the colour green?" he asked awkwardly. He stared at the dark green and black room.
She laughed half heartily. "I think we all like the colour green. Slytherin remember?"
"Right," he said chuckling. He stuffed his hands in his pants pockets as he wondered around the large room. "So you went to Hogwarts then?"
She scoffed. "I was in all your classes," she told him.
"Oh," he said quietly.
"You can sit down," she told him.
He sat down on the edge of the bed. She laid down on her bed with her head on her pillows. Her dress was wrinkled.
"So were getting married," she said slowly trying to process it herself.
He fumbled with his words. "Well no, I still have to propose. This coming up weekend, there is going to be a party here and that's when I'm supposed to propose."
"What if I said no?"
His face grew pale. "My father and your father would have my head if you said no."
She shook her head. "I had no future anyway. If I was to be married off, that'd be a lot better then staying at home for the rest of my life. I hate this manor," she told him honestly.
He sighed. "I hate mine too."
For the rest of the evening they sat there on her bed in silence till Draco had to go back home with his parents.
