The line goes off and all I feel is sadness. I am a sad mess. Just like Squidward from Spongebob Squarepants. I thought I was more compatible with Spongebob himself but I guess my cartoon personality caught a holiday cold too.
- Another 5 of these please! -I speak in my best accent and point to the lady at the kitchen section of the cafe. She smiles at me and nods, as I turn to watch the outside view in my misery.
Maybe another 5 "pão de queijo" baked cheese rolls will save me from feeling down.

It's not even my thing to sit at cafe windows and frown, no. I am the happiest version of myself in cafés, because cafés represent food and food is all-time-unconditional-happiness. That is like an absolute rule of life that they don't teach in university.
Well, the main reason my sadness keeps me in a bubble today is the fact that from tomorrow on I will be staying in my dorm all alone for the upcoming 2 weeks. And I don't anticipate that. Raj will be away, Fahad is leaving tonight already and the other 2 Brazilian dudes I'm staying with left 2 days ago. The rest of the dorm will be empty too. Dang it.
2 weeks all by myself. I bet the other attendant dude that will stay in the dorm will be boring to hang out with and whatnot. I guess I can master all the games I'm playing since I'll have tons of free time.

I turn around to see the fluffy lady sign me to come and pick up the freshly baked cheese rolls. Mmm, they smell nice. My smile is restored and my tongue is hanging out excitedly over the sight of the little cheeseballs as I fix my position in my seat after grabbing the package from the lady's hands.
Who would have thought I would end up in Brazil to go to college? Who would have thought my best friends would be an Indian and a Nigerian dude that I would share a room with? Who would have thought... Well a lot of things. Yet, I am happy with my life and I love this country as much as my own.
If only it wasn't for that annoying dormitory directory that keeps annoying my ass week-long? Honestly, I'm done with them. I'm not even speaking to my floor attendant for a month.
For those of you who don't know what a 'floor attendant' is, I'll save you from ignorance. Floor attendants are those students located in each floor of the dorms that keep an eye on the students of their floor, make sure they keep quiet and they follow the regulations.
