Same as always, I do not own Final Fantasy, Square Enix does. Enjoy!
These few first days were rough. Well, in real life it had been a couple of hours, but in Eorzea, it's been a couple of days. It's still a bumpy ride. Lyllyan went back to helping Summerford farms. She was doing a couple of quest when she was told to head to Seasong Grotto. There was a disturbance causing problems and they wanted her to check it out.
Lyllyan was walking through the grassy field with her carbuncle tagging slightly behind her. The walk there, she took in the scenery. The smell of the ocean was vast. Limsa and the Los Noscea area was a huge island. The grass was green. Greener than she had ever seen. There were very few trees and the rivers were shallow, but that didn't stop the pugils, a fish with a thin snout, from swimming about. She stopped when she noticed an inlet into the ground. It was like a cave.
Lyllyan pulled out her map and noticed it said that this cave was the Seasong Grotto.
"Okay. Let's go, carbuncle."
The carbuncle mewled and followed her to the grotto. The grotto was full of Bogeys, little revenant/ghost like creatures. Luckily, they were passive creatures. She walked passed them, and walked up to a stone tablet. She saw something carved on it. It was a sailor's song. She read out loud. When she spoke the final word, a voice from behind spoke.
"Impressive. Not many know how to decipher this."
Lyllyan turned around, seeing a Mi'quote with short white hair and a white tunic. The cat girl walked up to Lyllyan.
"To think I came in search for a disturbance to find a peculiar adventurer."
"Peculiar? How?" Lyllyan questioned.
"Ah. I do not mean to offend. It is not every day that you meet an adventurer from another world. The aether around you is....well different to say the least."
"Oh."
Just then a roar is heard. The bogeys run away as a Goobue, a moss giant, rampaged in.
"Hm, it seems we have the disturbance. Pray tell, do you know what instances are?" That cat woman takes out her wand.
"Yes." Lyllyan takes out her book, her carbuncle hisses at the giant.
"Well, you are about to enter one! Let us put this angered beast to rest!"
A fight commences and the cat girl and Lyllyan fight side by side. The cat girl keeps Lyllyan's health up as the fight goes on. Smaller goobues, and bogeys come as reinforcements for the giant goobue, but Lyllyan takes care of them swiftly. The last thing they want is to be crowded.
Soon the Goobue goes down. The cat woman goes to the goobue and inspects it, "Hm...this knife."
Lyllyan gets closer, "It looks similar to the weapons that are used by the pirates that camp near Summerford farms."
"Quite, basically all pirates tend to use these. It's called a sailor's knife. Let me see if we can find out who it belongs to.."
With that, the cat woman started looking over the knife. Lyllyan was looking around when she caught a glimpse of a sparkle. She looks and finds a crystal. She picks it up, and the whole world around her distorts, and passes out.
She opens her eyes, standing as the crystal disappears and reappears on a dial. It seems there are 6 crystals in total, meaning 5 more are out there to be collected. Suddenly her body is floating and a giant crystal is appearing as she hear the words, "Hear...Feel...Think..."
It's the crystal talking to her.
"Do not be afraid, my child, for I am Hydaelyn. All made one. Darkness threatens to purge my land. Lay it to rest, for I give you my blessing."
Lyllyan stared at the crystal in awe.
She couldn't wait to tell Baderon what she just saw.
Her body starts to glow, as she basks in Hydaelyn's light. She starts flying towards her along with many other figures and soon everything goes black.
She wakes up, in a slightly more comfortable position than when she passed out.
"Ah, awake are we? How are you feeling?"
"Like I slept on a bed of nails."
"Well you did pass out quite sporadically."
"It wasn't planned. I saw a giant crystal...Hydaelyn? I think that's what she said it was."
"Hmm..."the cat girl pondered, "Peculiar, indeed."
"What?"
"Nothing that matters at the moment. I must return to my work. Go deliver this to Staelwyn. He'll know what to do. Perhaps we will meet on a less...urgent matter." With that she left the knife in Lyllyan's hands and left.
Lyllyan tried to follow but the instant she went outside, the cat girl was never to be seen. With a sigh, she went to Summerford farms. There, she turned in the knife, and found out that the mysterious cat girl was Y'shtola.
With a smile, Lyllyan had ran back to Limsa.
"So then we fought this giant Goobue! And it kept summoning things, but I put them down before we got over crowded, and then I met a giant crystal named Hydaelyn!" Lyllyan was telling her story to Baderon.
"Quite the adventure. See, it's getting easier for ya."
"I think I'm getting the ropes down. It's really cool, ya know. I just...." she looks down.
"Ya miss yer folks."
"It's lonely, venturing out there."
"Well, why not get sociable. I'm sure there ought to be someone who is in the same boat as you."
"Maybe your right, I think I will!" She gets up and starts running out, "Thanks, Baderon."
Baderon chuckles to himself as he shakes his head.
Yup, this is going to be quite the adventurer.
