Why do they call it "falling in love"?
Is it because when you fallㅡyou break, and the heart shatters?
A billion, broken pieces as it scatters.
Is it because when you fall in love,
Nothing else matters?
Valentine's comes by,
Loving smiles on both faces,
Handing each other special giftsㅡwith beautiful wrappers.
You see them with another,
Heart fills up with rage and scornㅡas you glare daggers.
Why do they call it "falling in love"?
Is it because of the butterflies in your stomach?
Warm tingles that rush up your spine?
Lungs without airㅡyou get breathless?
Or is it the feeling when they say "you're mine"?
They say love is blind,
They say love is deaf,
They say love is never selfishㅡbut kind.
For they are wrong,
Love conquers humankind,
Love is deceptive, is envious, is greedy,
Love takes charge of the mind.
Why do they call it "falling in love"?
You fall into an endless hole,
Losing your sense of judgment,
And love becomes the mastermind.
