Chapter 1

Lily's P.O.V.

I wake up and get dressed into my outfit for today which consists of a green dress with a brown belt, some brown sandles and some red feathered earrings.

I walk out of my dorm room which I share with Lonnie, Mulan's daughter. I walk outside and walk along the small ledge.

"Hi Lily," I look up and see Jay with Carlos and Evie and Mal behind them.

"Hi Jay," i smile at him, "Carlos, Evie and Mal."

"You look nice," Jay compliments.

"Thank you," I smile, "you to," I grab a hold of my dad's flute necklace subconsciously.

"Jay..." Carlos says grabbing the boys attention, "if you were gonna ask someone, what's the best way to go?"

"Listen, all you got to do..." Jay starts telling him, "is look like me."

"Oh, ha-ha," Carlos laughs sarcastically.

"Just be yourself Carlos," I smile at him. He sends me a greatful smile as Jane walks to us.

"Mal," She says looking at the blonde girl.

"Hey, Jane," Carlos says gazing at her. So that's who he likes, I so ship it.

"Hey," Jane smiles at him.

"I was wondering..." Here he goes, "uh..." come on Carlos, "if you liked the.... carrot cake last night." I frown as he backs down.

"I had the pumpkin pie," Jane tells him.

"Oh, cool." He says, "Um, uh--"

"Smooth," Jay says grabbing Carlos' shoulders and leading him away.

"I have an opening for a fitting at 3:00," Evie says stepping forwards, "Who wants it?"

"Me!" Lonnie jumps forwards. She looks at Jane apologetically, "Sorry."

"Perfect," Evie smiles at Lonnie before turning to Jane, "I'll take you later."

"I would love to stay and chat," I say grabbing all their attentions, "but I have things to do and places to be."

"Bye Lily," they all say as I walk away.

I walk down the steps and across the garden enjoying the peacefulness and the beauty the garden offered.

"Lily!" I turn and see Jay jogging towards me.

"Hi again Jay," I smile at him.

"I was just wondering," he says once he's caught up to me, "if you're coming to practice later?"

"I wish I could," I start, "but my dad wants to see me."

He grins at me, "Alright," he gives me a quick hug, "thats fine, I'll see you later."

I let out a small laugh before turning around and carrying on with my walk. No, Jay and I don't like each other we are just really good friends. We have been ever since he first joined this school. Mostly because I'm not a princess and a more adventurous than most people in Auradon.

"Hi Lily," Erin, son of Ariel and Eric, says walking next to me.

"Hello Erin," I grin at him, "how can I help you."

"I was wondering if maybe you wanted to be my date to Cotillion?" He asks hopefully.

"Oh," I frown as we both stop walking, "I was actually planning to go by myself."

"Oh," he says his smile disappearing, "can you at least save me a dance?"

"Sure," I nod, "I should get going."

"Of course," he nods as I start walking off.

"Hi dad," I say walking in my house and dropping my bag at the front door.

"Hello Lily," he smiles giving me a quick hug, "how's school?"

"It's good," I smile, "Cotillion is coming up," I say as we sit down, "Erin asked me to be his date."

"Eric and Ariel's Erin?" He asks.

"Yeah that's the one," I nod, "but I said no. I want to go by myself."

"That's very brave," he nods, "how's your flying going?"

"I can now stay in the air for a minute," I grin excitedly.

"That's excellent news," he cheers, "your mother would have been very proud of you."

"Thanks dad," I smile at him sadly.

Let me explain a bit. My mum is not Wendy, by the time my dad came for her, she was married with two children. My dad ended up falling in love with her eldest daughter, Julia, my mum. Unfortunately, when I was ten she grew terribly ill and she passed away.

"I should probably get going," I say standing up, "I need to speak with King Ben."

"Alright," he nods getting, "goodbye little one."
