Chapter 3

Lily's P.O.V.

"Jay, keys. Remote," Ben says throwing said items to Jay.

"Wait!" Evie says stopping Ben and I, "Something's wrong," she pulls down Ben's blue beanie before pulling down my green one.

"Oh," Ben says as he fixes his.

"There," Evie says looking at both of us.

"Shotgun!" We turn around and see Carlos' dog, Dude. Did he just talk?

"No, Dude. Stay," Carlos tells him, "The Isle is way too dangerous."

"Did he just...?" I ask shocked.

"Talk?" Carlos cuts me off, "Yeah." He nods, "I know. Tell you later."

"Let's go," Ben says as we start heading to the limo.

"Yeah," I hear Evie whisper out.

"Okay, once we cross the bridge, park under the pier in the old garage. Got it?" Evie tells Jay who is driving.

"Got it." He says starting to drive away.

I can't believe we're actually doing this. I look down at my outfit and smile, I kind of like this look.

"Ben, help me with the tarp," Carlos says as both him and Ben lift up the tarp to cover the car, "Jay?"

We had arrived at the Isle and we haven't seen much but it's already so different from home.

"Yeah?" Jay asks turning to him only for Carlos to throw the tarp to him.

We all help but it only seems to cover half of the car.

"I got it," Jay says finishing that piece of tarp.

"It's really weird being back here," Evie comments wearily to Jay.

"We'll get in and get out," I reassure both of them.

"Jay!" Carlos shouts before chucking Jay a second tarp which we cover the rest of the car with.

Ben and I make our way over to a tunnel. I look inside but it's completely black.

"Hey, what's in here?" Ben asks the others.

"Ben! Lily!" Carlos says walking to us and pulling us away from the tunnerl.

"You don't want to know," Jay says as him and Evie join us.

"Hey, guys." Carlos says grabbing our attention, "Keep it chill, all right? The last thing we need is our parents figuring out we're here."

Carlos leads us to a bunch of run down homes with people hanging their clothes up outside. We are definitely not in Auradon anymore.

Ben and I walk next to each other in a small opening with one man leaning on some wood. I look at Ben to see him smiling at the man and trying to shake his hand. The man growls at him and steps towards us causing us to step back as Carlos and Jay step in front of us.

"Ben, Lily stop. Just stop," Evie tells us.

"Why?" Ben asks as we both look at them confused.

"This isn't a parade. It's the Isle," Evie says sternly but I guess I can see why.

"Keep your hands in your pockets unless you're stealing," Jay tells us.

"You either slouch or strut," Carlos says.

"And never, ever smile," Evie finally adds.

"Okay, thanks," Ben thanks them causing me to elbow him in the ribs.
