He's Perfect (Steven Hyde Love Story)

Point place, Wisconsin

May 17th, 1976

8:47 p.m.

Location: Formans' Basement

It was a boring Monday night and there was nothing to do.

"Eric. It is time" said Steven seriously as Eric, Donna, Steven, Kelso, and I were sitting in the basement.

"Why don't you do it?" asked Eric nervously.

Right now,  mom and dad are hosting a party upstairs and Eric was the unlucky one to have to sneak some beers for us.

"It's your house" argued Steven.

"Your house" repeated Kelso from behind Steven.

"Stop being such a wuss, Eric" I said as everyone but Eric laughed.

"Then you go do it, Kia! Dad loves you so it should be no problem" yelled Eric upset.

"You will do it because you love me" I said with my arms crossed.

"Listen to them up there. The party has reached critical mass. In 10 minutes, there will be no more beer opportunities" said Steven as he pointed to the ceiling.

"If my dad catches me copping beers, he'll kill me" said Eric as he was trying to get out of it.

"I'm willing to take that risk" I said as Steven and I high-fived.

"Don't worry about it. Just remain calm, keep moving" said Kelso as I nodded.

"And above all, don't get sucked into my dad's hair" said Donna as I laughed.

"What's wrong with your dad's hair?" asked Eric confused.

"Just trust us and don't look at it" I said as I shivered.

"And, Eric, cold. Definitely cold" said Steven as he grabbed Eric's face, Eric nodded and ran upstairs.

I was sitting on the couch stuffed between Steven and Kelso reading a rolling stones magazine while Donna was sitting on a chair next to Kelso.

"You think he's gonna make it back alive?" asked Steven.

"well, knowing our dad, he's probably getting lectured so I say no" I said as I shrugged and kept looking at my magazine.

"Check it out" said Steven as he was showing Kelso a picture of a naked woman.

"We see that every day, don't we Kia?" asked Donna as I nodded without looking at her.

I could tell they were shocked because I felt them staring at me.

"He's alive!" yelled Steven as Eric came back with five beers.

He passed us all one then sat back down with his.

"Good news. My dad is thinking of giving me the Vista Cruiser!" said Eric as Kelso took off his pop tab from his beer and hung it with the others on the ceiling.
