Between The Lines

To Be A Human

I have come to realized that being a human is exhausting. You came to life just to die. Don't you think life's a little too hard on us? You're chained in people's view of perfection. You cannot just "do" what you want because you ought to do what the "must". You have to follow rules and yet some of those rules does not make sense. You cannot complain in this society and yet you are in a democratic country.

Being a human is exhausting. You'll do your best and it will still not be enough. People will remember your mistakes but not your good deeds. They will remember your downfall but not your achievements. You'll be fighting in a world full of fake people and someday, you'll realize that you can even fake your feelings too. You're forced to be kind in a cruel reality.

Being a human is exhausting. You'll break yourself in order to learn. You'll love people and your happiness will depend on them. You cannot live by yourself. You cannot be happy on your own. You will come to realized that being yourself, your own messed-up self will just mess things up. You're forced to be better even if they're saying that you have to be yourself. You will come to realized that all humans are wearing a mask in order to conceal their own.

Being a human is exhausting and yet, you will still try to survive in this exhausting life because quitting is never an option.
