*Emily's POV*
I woke up to my two sons Xavier and Xander shaking me and my husband Zion to get up from bed. I looked at the clock and it was 8:30
"How do these kids have so much energy" Zion said rolling over in bed
I just laughed and eventually got up, heading for the bathroom to do my morning routine. Once I was done I went back into our bedroom to see Zion still passed out. i needed help getting Zion up so I went into Xavier and xanders rooms and told them to help me wake their dad. Xavier took a pillow and started hitting Zion while Xander started dragging Zion off the bed.
"ALRIGHT THATS IT... PILLOW FIGHTTTTTT" Zion yells as he tackles both his sons onto our bed
"Wow I love you boys" I said watching proudly
I texted Lauren to see if she was up so I could come over since we live right next to each other. She replied back that she was so I headed over.
"Knock knockkkk" I said opening the door to see my niece and nephew, Bentley and Aaliyah running over to me
"AUNT EMILYYY" Aaliyah said as Bentley followed
"Hi babies! Wheres your mom?" I asked
"In the kitchen with daddy" Bentley said taking my hand to the kitchen
"Em! Hey!" Nick said giving me a hug
"Heyyy guysss" I said hugging him and Lauren
"Do you guys wanna come with me and Zion to target cause were gonna head out soon" I asked
"Yeah sure, we could use some stuff right?" Lauren said looking over to Nick
"Okay cool. Lemme go get the kids ready and ill text you when were ready to leave" I said grabbing a waffle nick made and heading out the door
I headed back home and Zion was cooking as the kids were sitting at the table patiently waiting for food. Zion had made some pancakes and eggs. I kissed him and thanked him for making breakfast. We all ate and I told the boys to get ready so we could head out to target. The boys were ready and I texted Lauren so we could head out. We pulled out of our garage and nick and Lauren followed. I loved living next to Lauren and Nick because they are mine and Zion's actual best friends and our kids were basically best friends.
We arrived at target and started shopping. Target is a dangerous place because i spend wayyyy too much money on pointless stuff and Zion gets mad but whatever. This time I was gonna try to limit myself but I just can't help it sometimes. Usually me and Lauren stick together and then nick and Zion get lost with our kids.
"mom can I come with you and Emily" Aaliyah said to Lauren
"Yes of course baby! Come here" Lauren said putting Aaliyah in the cart
We headed down the isles and all of a sudden we hear commotion in one of the isles. Me and Lauren look at each other as we go towards the sound. We see nick and Lauren's son Bentley over by this pillow cage thing. Lauren took out her phone and started recording because nick picked up Bentley, and put him in the pillow cage. We started cracking up because Bentley started sliding down through all the pillows.
"Nick!!! Oh my god, get him out! Lauren said laughing
"hi mommy" Bentley said waving to Lauren from inside the pillow cage
Nick got Bentley out and we all started laughing at the video Lauren took.
"Okay um where are my husband and kids" I asked as we continued shopping
Just as I said that we turned a corner to see Zion and my kids glued to a tv screen playing video games.
"Offff course" I said walking over to them
They were playing fortnite, of freaking course. I can't get these people away from video games.
"Helloooooooo, earth to Zion." I said snapping my fingers infront of his face
"Oh shit, hi babe" Zion said pecking me
"Oh hi" I said laughing
"We are basically done here so whenever you boys are ready" I said
"Mom can we get this video game!!!" Xavier and Xander said running over to me
"Uhhhhh, ask your dad" I said as they went to Zion
"say no more. Of course you can get this game." Zion said picking up Xavier and putting him over his head as Xander jumped on Zion's back laughing
"Daddd can I get a video game?" Bentley asked looking up at nick
Nick glanced at Lauren and then back at Bentley and then back at Lauren
"Fineeeee, go pick out one that you really want" Lauren said as Nick and Bentley both ran over to get a game
Lauren wanted to get something for Aaliyah. She was so good she didn't even ask for anything but Lauren didn't wanna exclude her. So she told nick to take her to the doll section and pick out something she wants. Nick took Aaliyah's hand and they went to go get something. After everyone picked out what they wanted we finally headed to the checkout. We bought wayyy more than we expected but hey thats what happens when you take your kids to target.
"Do you guys wanna come over and have a bbq?" Nick said as we loaded up our cars
"Yeah sure thing" Zion said
"Alright me and Lauren are gonna go to the store to get some stuff can you take the kids back?" Nick asked
"Of courseeeee! lets just have the bbq at our house since we have the kids" I said
"WHO WANTS TO COME WITH UNCLE ZION" Zion yelled as Bentley and Aaliyah ran over to him
He threw Aaliyah up in the air as Bentley just started jumping up and down. Zion and Nick have to be the best with kids I swear.
"Yall be safe with my babies alright!" Lauren said getting in their car
"There in good hands." I said getting in our car
We headed back home and all the kids followed Zion into the house running full speed. They surrounded our TV and played the new game they just got. I unloaded all the packages and Aaliyah wanted me to play with her so thats exactly what I did. She's so delicate and adorable ugh I love her.
Nick and Lauren were back at the house and nick got the bbq ready. Me and Lauren started cooking Mac and cheese since it was everyones favorite. Everything was ready and we all ate outside. It was such a beautiful day out and we were all just having a blast, enjoying each others company. Zion and Nick helped us clean up while the kids were hanging out in the backyard.
"WHO WANTS SMORES!!" Nick said running into the backyard with all the smores necessities
We had a little bonfire thing and we all surrounded it and made our smores. We all started laughing because Zion and Nick literally made a mess and they had chocolate all over their faces.
"There worse than the kids" Lauren said as we laughed
We cleaned everything up and the kids continued to play in the backyard. Zion went over and turned on our speakers that we have hooked up. He put on a cheesy slow song and took my hand as nick took Lauren's. We were all slow dancing around our backyard. Aaliyah went over to nick and they started dancing. Bentley and Lauren were dancing. Xavier was on Zion's shoulders as I was dancing with Xander. These were the nights we lived for. So simple but we were all one big family.
