Chapter 5

It had been three weeks and Every afternoon on the cafe, Alton would be there But not everyday. There would be times he wouldn't be there on his usual table. I noticed him a lot because the others pleaded me that I will serve him from now on so I agree. Why not? I like seeing him close. I have this attraction towards him that makes me want to be around him everyday. I don't know if its just me or I was in a spell but I just feel something around him.

I lean on the counter while listening to their chats. The cafe was not that busy everyday thats why the others would just sit down or talk with the others as they wait for a new costumer.

In the usual afternoon, Alton arrived at the cafe but this time, he had someone with him. It was a man twice Alton's age he had a physical similarities with Alton. Was he his dad?

As soon as they sat on Alton's usual table, the guys gave me thumbs up which earned them an eye roll from me. I stood up straight and grab my pen and paper. I walked towards their table and smiled.

"Good morning sir, can I take your order?"I asked and I knew Alton would order the usual black coffee with no sugar.

"Black coffee. No sugar"Alton said, not looking up to me and I nodded. I faced the older man who nodded at me.

"I will have the same"

"Okay sir. I will be back with your order"I said and walk away. I went to the counter and gave the order to Ben.

"Do you know who that man with Alton?" I ask Carmella who was leaning on the counter and she nodded.

"Yeah, thats Alton's Father"She replied,"Ten times worse than Alton. I tell you"

"Oh"thats all I said and Ben gave me the two coffee. I thanked him and carried the coffee on their table. They seem to be in a serious talk and I'm not sure if I would talk or just place their order and walk away.

As I stood near them, I cleared my throat."Uh, Excuse me. Here is your order-"

"Like her!"The older man pointed at me and I blinked at him.

"Uhm, me?"I ask looking nervous. Alton narrowed at me and I look away.

"No, father! I am alright on my own. I don't need help by anyone so you can just stop!"Alton hissed at his father.

"No, you boy listen to me. She will be your PA starting tomorrow and I will not hear anymore denials coming from you. Got it?"Alton's father said to him angrily. Alton had his jaw clenched as well as his hands. I want to run away right now but it feels like my feet were stuck on the ground.

"You, girl"The man looked at me and I gulped.

"Y-yes, sir?"I stuttered.

"You will work or the Ashton Enterprises and you will be my son's PA starting tomorrow. Your pay will be three times more than you receive here so Is that a yes?"

What is happening right now?

"B-but sir-"

"Good. Thats a Yes. I expect for you to do your job properly with my son starting tomorrow. Good day"He stood up and left the cafe. My mouth hang open and I heard Alton sight in frustration.

"Be at the Ashton Enterprises tomorrow at eight AM sharp. Don't be late"Alton suddenly stood up and left the cafe.

I was frozen on my spot, my mouth slightly open, trying to know what just happened.

Oh no.

"Heya Girl!"Haley barge in again with Violet and I glared at her.

"Stop barging in like that, Haley!"I groaned out and she chuckled while the two of them sat on my bed.

"I just like to have a good but shocking entrance"Haley winked.

"What if you entered a room where two people are having s*x"Violet said and Haley laughed.

"I would be lucky to see the man's beautiful body. Aye?"

"Oh shut up you two. I don't want to hear about that, that thing!"I shouted and the two of them laughed.

"Why did you want us here, Aud?"Violet asked and I sigh while biting my lip.

"Well, something came up and.."I trail off,"Alton's dad told me that I will be Alton's PA starting tomorrow. That means I will be working with Alton"

"What?!"The both of them shouted in disbelief and I nervously scratched the back of my head.

"Did you agree?"Haley asked and I replied,"I didn't really agree. Alton's dad didn't gave me a chance to tell my decision because I think he was in a hurry. He told me that I will start working at the Ashton Enterprises tomorrow and Alton told me that I should be there at eight AM tomorrow"

"How?"

"Well, I was going to give them their coffee since, you know, I work at the cafe. Then, they were talking and I placed their orders. They suddenly talked something about me and bam, after that, they left"

"Well, thats good then! You're so damn lucky that you will be working for Alton himself but a curse as well because you'll be facing his mean self"Haley said and Violet nodded.

"Are you gonna go work for him?"Violet asked and I nodded.

"Alton's father said that their pay will be thrice that what I received from the cafe. The manager in the cafe agreed that I can quit. He was too nice"I said and they nodded.

"Good luck then! Lets celebrate by ordering pizza!"Haley cheered and I laughed.

"Sure"

Then, the night went on with us on the living room. Watching movies, eating pizza and the three of us were on the couch while covering our body with a blanket. It was like what we used to do in out sleep over when we were back on high school. I missed it.
