Luke and I exchanged numbers and then I headed home. When I got home my father wasn't home. No shock there. I went up and took a shower and then I was trying to find something to wear. It was freezing so I was frantically searching through my drawers for clothes.
My eyes found my bra, underwear, Superman pants, and a 5SOS tee shirt. I brushed my hair and went downstairs to make hot chocolate. I went to the living room to find a note that I hadn't seen when I walked in.
Hailey, I won't be home for a couple of nights... maybe weeks. Your going to be on your own for a while. I just can't take care of you anymore.

Wow. He's leaving me by myself. He doesn't love me and if he does this isn't the way of showing it! I'm only freaking 15. Not old enough to get a job let alone live by myself! I felt tears in my eyes but i tried to blink them away. It didn't work. I wasnt even crying. I had the god damn ocean coming out of me. I think this would be the perfect time to text Luke.

About a minute later...

Hey, is this Hailey?
Not even a few seconds later I typed...
To: Luke
Yeah. Im having some um... issues. But you probably won't care anyways.
From: Luke
Tell me.
To Luke:
Umm.. my dad told me he doesn't want me anymore.
From: Luke
What exactly did he say?
To Luke:
Well, he didn't exactly tell me to my face.. he left a note. But anyway the note said and I quote: Hailey, I won't be home for a couple of nights... maybe weeks. Your going to be on your own for a while. I just can't take care of you anymore.
From Luke:
Wow. Do you need someone? I could um.. come over?
I could just imagine his Australian accent telling me everything's going to be okay.
To Luke:
Sure . That would be awesome actually. My address is XX Washington rd XXXXX
From Luke:
Ok cool. I'll be over in a bit xx
I was suddenly in a better mood. I can't believe I made friends with Luke Hemmings.
**10 minutes later**
There was a distant knock on my door and I jumped up knowing it was Luke. When I opened the door, I couldn't believe what I saw.
