Chapter 16

I went into the bathroom and started to cry. I also started to think. I'm gonna grab my bag and I'm gonna run somewhere. Probably back to my house. I'll be walking in the pouring rain but at least I'll be in my own bed where I can cry. I walk back into my room and grab my bag. "Wait. Where are you going?" Luke asks, jerking up from the bed. He didn't even try to come after me when I ran into the bathroom. He really doesn't care about me. For once, the haters were right. 

I run out of the house and try to remember the way to my house from theirs. I look to the left, thinking that's the way. 'I'll just wing it.' I think. I start to walk toward that direction, crossing the highway. After a while, I can't seem to find my neighborhood, and judging by how long I was walking, I should have found it by now. I sat down on the side of the road and it started to rain. Well, harder than it already was. Bad thing is I had no umbrella.

I felt someone sit next to me and it was starting to freak me out because the last thing I need is to be kidnapped by some stranger. I looked over to find Luke, shivering from the rain, and soaking wet. I feel so bad now because he came all this way just to find me. I guess he really does care about me. "Why d-did you r-run away like t-that?" he asks, shivering. "Because everyone on Twitter was telling me that you only feel bad for me... that you don't care about me." I say, with my throat closing up, me trying to hold back my tears. "Well, that's not the case and you should know that. I love you, Hailey. And only you. Nobody or nothing can come between us and ruin it." he says. And that's when i lose it.

Tears start going everywhere and the next thing I knew I'm wrapped in Luke's arms again. My arms wrapped around his neck and his wrapped around my waist. I lean in to kiss him, knowing he'll be by my side forever. Hopefully.
