"she has a hole in her heart.." the doctor said.

(Dianne's Pov)

What? I felt Joe's arm wrap around me. I had no idea what this meant. Was she going to be ok? I looked at Joe, tears forming in my eyes.
"What does this mean?" He asked, I was so glad he was here.
"She had a small murmur and looking closer we've found a hold just next to one of the arteries. It might need surgery but for now we want to monitor it. It might mean we do the surgery just after she's one." explained the doctor. I just sat there in Joes arms.

(Joe's PoV)
I could only imagine what Dianne was thinking. I knew I'd have to be strong for her but it was awful to see someone I cared about her such bad news. I held her in my arms for an hour. Stroking her face before she fell asleep. So peaceful yet so hurt. She really is beautiful.

Dianne and I have been meeting up for tutoring for about a month and a half. I think she's failing on purpose now. I mean she's brilliant and she nails all of the practice questions. I wish it was socially acceptable for her to hang out with me and not have to fail a subject but I guess she wasn't ready for that. I think I'm falling for her but it's stupid. I mean I'm resident nerd, science geek and goody two shoes and she's the perfect popular girl. Sounds like a movie doesn't it. I wish it was reality.
