Kayla.
I woke up, rubbing my eyes, and looking at the alarm clock. After noticing that was 12:07 PM, I also noticed that my brother was at the foot of my bed. Asleep. I softly kicked him in the stomach with my left foot and heard a loud groan.
"Kaaaay! What was that for?" Kayden semi-yelled.
"Well you know, you were kinda sleeping on my bed." I said sarcastically. He playfully rolled his eyes while I laughed.
"I was trying to wake you up, but you ended up throwing a pillow at me. So I was like fuck it." He said, shrugging.
"Kayden! You better watch that mouth of yours." I seriously said.
"K." He replied back as I crossed my legs.
"Have you ate?" I questioned him.
"Nope. That's why I tried to wake you up." He smartly answered. I shook my head, and got out of bed.
"I don't know what to do to you." I said, walking to the bathroom.
I got my toothbrush, rinsed it, and tried to do the toothpaste the way it is on commercials. After struggling for about three minutes, I gave up. I try everyday, but it never works.
How the fuck do they do it?
I brushed my teeth, rinsed my mouth with mouthwash, and took a quick shower because I knew Kayden was hungry. I walked in my room with my towel on because I thought he was there.
I thought wrong.
So I put on my undergarments, a pair of sweatpants, a studded tank, and random socks. I put my hair in a messy, loose bun, slid on my slippers in front of my bed and headed downstairs.
When I got downstairs, I saw his head was on the table. He heard I was downstairs, so he quickly lifted his head and started whining.
"Why did you take so looong?" He complained, as I got the frying pan out.
"I didnnn't." I whined back to him, while plugging in the waffle toaster.
I decided to make waffles, eggs, and bacon. Since it was a basic, yet delicious ass breakfast.
I got out the eggs, bacon, and waffle mix and made the waffle batter. I poured some in the toaster, and started focusing on the eggs. I cracked two eggs in a bowl, put some diced bell peppers, salt, and whisked them all together.
I turned on the stove, poured a bit of oil in the pan and waited for the oil to get hot. When it got hot, I poured the eggs in the pan. After that I checked the waffle and took it out. I poured some more batter in and closed it.
I got another pan out for the bacon and turned on the stove. I got the spatula and started scrambling the eggs. I put bacon in the other pan and checked the waffle.
I took it out, and put it on the plate. I got the eggs and put it on the side of the plate. I got the bacon and put it on the plate.
Kayden licked his lips as I brought the plate. He said thank you and eagerly started eating.
I chuckled to myself, fixed my plate, and joined him at the table.
We ate in peace as we watched Spongebob. That was one of my all-time favorite cartoons.
We finished in about ten minutes and cleared the table. I washed the dishes and went to sit down.
"Where's our mom, Kay?" He asked out of the blue.
I had to be completely honest with him, because Lord knows how much I hate lying to him.
"I don't really know. She disappeared when Dad.. died." I said, catching some chills.
Dad was my rock. When something went wrong, he would always find a way to cheer me up. Kayden reminds me so much of him, though he barely saw him. He was only a couple months old. I'm not positively sure he remembers him. But Dad was my second biggest supporter. God is my first, and I don't known here the hell my mother falls in.
I love Mom too. But she just left us. I'm not sure if she loves us. Disappearing, while she has two kids.
That's some childish bullshit.
So for about six years, I've watched Kayden by myself. Our father, had money. He had his own company, his own real estate business. So in his will, he remembered Kayden and I.
When I tell you he remembered us, he remembered us. Planning our future out with his money.
He really cared about us, and would never want to see any of us hurt.
I miss him. But me saying I missed him would be an understatement.
