I fell asleep on his lap after we were done rapping.
I guess I woke up a couple hours later because by then Kayden was downstairs and the tv was on.
Ramir was playing in my hair before he noticed I was up. His eyes lightened up a bit when he saw I woke up.
"You finally woke up, heavy ass." He said.
"Do not try to shade except yourself. I'm not the one." I said looking at him.
He put his hands up in surrender and defensively said, "My bad."
"Am I really heavy?" I said looking at him.
Damn, those eyes. You don't know what they do to me.
He chuckled, then said.
"You're just the way you used to be."
I scrunched my face up.
"Whatchu tryna say?" I said.
"You don't remember?" He said looking kinda down.
"I don't know what you talking about." I said, looking at him.
He took a deep breath and started talking.
"When we were about three, we were best friends. I mean, legit best friends. Ride or die things. More like fight or play, when we were that young.
We did everything together. Every day we would hang out. And if we got separated, we'd cry. Our friendship was crazy close. Both of our parents predicted we were gonna get married in the future."
We both laughed.
"I guess we liked each other because we were literally inseparable. But when your dad died, you started becoming unsocial. We never hanged out the way we used to, until the point where we stopped hanging out. I thought my best friend was gone, until I went to the park the same day you did. I instantly knew it was you because your face never changed. That's why I never said anything to you. I wanted to see if you remembered me."
It took me time for all of that to sink in. I knew I'd seen those eyes from somewhere.
That's why we clicked so quickly. I believe everything he said. I also remember everything he said.
A few tears slipped from my eyes, but I wiped them away so quick.
He rubbed my back and whispered, "Everything's alright, I'm here now." He wiped my tears and told me to cheer up because he had a surprise for me.
"What is it?" I asked.
"That's the whole point of a surprise." He said laughing.
"You know how much I hate surprises." I said, pouting.
"Get ready. I'll be here in an hour." He told me.
More like three hours.
"Gimme a hinnnt." I said as I hugged his waist, looked at him, and pouted.
"Wear something casual." He said, laughing a little.
I kissed his cheek, thanked him and watched him go. I locked the door and skipped up to my room.
I took a shower and washed my hair as well. I brushed my teeth, and put lotion on.
I put on a pair of khaki short shorts and black short-sleeved shirt, my gold necklace, my black skinny belt, a pair of knee-high socks, and my Taxis.
I put on clear lipgloss and put my hair in two buns. My baby hairs were on cloud one hundred.
I spritzed on Flower Bomb perfume and grabbed my Michael Kors purse and phone, heading downstairs.
When I got down, Kayden was looking at me attentively.
"Whaaat?" I asked him.
"You haven't paid attention to me at all today. It's just been you and Ramir. I mean he's cool and I'm happy for you but it's just that..-" He tried to finish, but couldn't.
"You don't want us to be separated?" I responded.
"Not just that. I don't want you to leave me. You're all that I have." He said looking up at me.
I went up to him, picked him up, and hugged him probably too hard. I love this boy with all my heart.
"I promise I won't. Pinky promise?" I stuck up my pinky.
He stuck his up and I wrapped mine around his. I kissed his forehead and smiled.
"I promise." I said to him.
Right after I said that the doorbell rang. Kayden went up to his room and I told him not to open the door for anyone. He said okay and told me to have a fun time. I hugged him and he left.
I got my purse and opened the door.
Ramir.
Was.
Looking.
Clean.
As.
Ever.
And he had to wear his taxis. I guess I was staring so long that he closed my mouth for me.
He chuckled and said lets go. He closed the door and waited for me to lock it.
"Damn, that ass." He said lowly.
I ignored that comment and asked where we were going. He started walking and I hugged his waist from behind.
"Raaaaaaamir." I called.
"Kaylaaaaaaaa." He called back.
I playfully rolled my eyes and asked, "Where we going?"
"That's something for me to know, not you." He said.
I got on his back and flicked the back of his head.
He gave me the blankest face ever.
"Stop that and tell me where we're going." I said.
"Straight to the 'tel, you ain't leaving til the mornin'." He sang.
Did I not tell y'all he can sing? I cheesed and put my arms around his neck.
"Why are you walking? I'm tired." I said complaining.
He stopped dead in his tracks and took me off his back. He started walking back.
"Where you goooing?" I asked as I followed him.
"Home." He answered bluntly.
"Butbutbut.. Ramir. We didn't get to the surprise."
"Because you keep complaining. I can't deal." He said.
"I'm sorry." I said.
"We gon' go. But you gotta shut up." He said walking to where we were going before.
"Oh." I said softly.
I walked behind him, not talking. He lowkey hurt my feelings. But then highkey, that was a mighty turn on.
I put in my earbuds and blasted Kendrick.
I could feel he was mad at me. I took one earbud out and tapped his shoulder. He turned around and looked at me.
"Sorry for the way I acted." I said apologetically.
He smiled and kissed my forehead. "It's all good, babygirl."
I got on his back, cheesing.
"You remember when my birthday is?" I asked him.
"Yup. Three days before mine." He said.
I hugged his face, cheesing for my life.
He chuckled and bit my hand softly.
"Always gotta ruin the moment, don't you?" I said as I put my hands on his shoulders.
"Nope." He stopped at a place I've never seen.
