Taehyung woke up to birds chirping and the sun peaking through the cracks of the window blinds. With his eyes still half closed, he sat up, stretching his stiff tired bones, the cracking sound of his bones popping here and there. He tossed the covers off his body. Taehyung ran his slender fingers through his soft hair, pushing it back out of his face as he reached for his phone on the nightstand. Disappointment ran through him as he noticed the time. He unlocked his phone to see an unread message from Namjoon.

NAMJOON: Are you awake yet? Sorry we left you at home. I was going to wake you up but Yoongi didn’t want to bother you just to go his therapy session, to which I said you would had been fine with it. You did look peaceful in your sleep through. We didn’t want to ruin that. Anyway, sorry we left without you. Hope you rested well.

Taehyung let out a sigh. He was upset that he overslept and missed out on going with them but he couldn’t help the smile that wanted to take place on his face. Namjoon always texted formally and never used abbreviations, the opposite of Yoongi who used slang and abbreviation as much as he could to make his text messages short and simple. Namjoon was always caring and he even showed that in his texts. Taehyung tried to push away the smile that wanted to form, but in the end he was left with a goofy smile on his face.

Taehyung texted Namjoon back saying that it was ok but he wanted to come text time and that he was going to the diner in case he wasn’t home when Namjoon came back.

For once,Taehyung didn’t want to locked up in the comfort of his own home that protected him from the outside world. He wanted to go out, get some fresh air even though it was polluted, and maybe some coffee.

After Taehyung changed into some clean casual clothes, he grabbed his black leathered journal along with a small pencil that was laying on the nightstand and then headed out the door.

He called a taxi and waited outside in the bustling small town. Namjoon took the car and Taehyung wasn’t going to walk to the diner. The diner was further away than the grocery store and he wouldn’t admit it but last night’s incident scared him enough that he didn’t feel safe walking alone.

He waited along the sidewalk, the wind brushing over his skin and through his hair, giving him shivers and goosebumps. He liked that.

In the distance he could see a bright yellow car speed down the road and then parking in front of him. Taehyung slid into the backseat and told the driver where to go. The driver quickly put the address in his phone and then stepped on the gas, causing Taehyung to launch back into his seat. He frantically grabbed his seatbelt and made sure it was secured.

In about thirty minutes the car was parked in front of the dinner. Taehyung leaned over the seat to hand the man his owed money before getting out of the car. He realized how quickly his savings were decreasing. With his book in his hand and his pencil wedged in between the pages, Taehyung walked into the diner.

“Did he see your faces?” Jin asked, pacing around his desk.

“I was wearing a mask but he probably got a nice look at Baekhyun and Jungkook,” Jimin said.

Jin sighed as he sat in his chair. He closed his eyes for a second, running his fingers through his hair as to try to calm himself down some. “You guys just keep making my life more difficult.”
