Ch.1

"You've got the job!" Mr. Malone agrees. His hand extends to shake mine. I shake it and stand up. Getting a job designing vevo music videos? Best job ever!

Pulling my cardigan closer to me as I walk into the cold breeze outside. My mom said I could never make it, I'm only 18, blah blah blah. I can't wait to rub this in her face.

The next day apparently my new boss Mr. Malone is going to tell me who my first client is I guess. Hopefully it's Selena Gomez, or Nicki Minaj. When I get in my car it's a lot warmer in there. Turning the radio on I hear 5 seconds of summer.

"Hm, maybe I'll get them," I raise my eyebrows. "ya right" and I start the car.

Waking up the next morning was a pain. My roommate shook me so hard I fell of the bed. "I was trying to sleep in Becca!" I angrily roll over on my back and push my dip dyed purple hair out of my face.

"Wake your lazy ass up, you've got a job now remember?" she stares down at me and sighs. "The one that starts in 30 minutes?"

That bolts me upright and I quickly get ready. I hear Becca say I told you so from our downstairs kitchen. Quickly throwing on a crop top and converse. My roommate has breakfast prepared for me but all I take is a muffin.

Getting in my car I fumble around for my keys then start the car. It roared to life and I'm out of the driveway.

My job isn't that far from my house but it's still a good 15 minutes. Arriving there is calm and soothing, a nice paved parking lot and a beautifully built white building. Inside everyone was working or talking or just plain sitting.

Someone named Dahlila came up to me and showed me my way around. She was very perky and happy all the time. She looked at my outfit like a crazy person but after I asked her she waved it off smiling. Definitely an optimist. Finally she showed me to my desk and that's where the tour ended.

She walked away and left me at my cubicle/desk with absolutely nothing to do. So I did what anyone else would do, play games online. after a couple minutes or so Mr. Malone finally approaches my desk and I quickly shut off the computer.

"What was that?" he asks raising an eyebrow and looks at the computer.

"Oh just some, uh, research." I smile brightly. Man I'm smart.

His eyebrow was still raised at my wavering smile and chuckled. "Nothing to fret about you don't have anything to work on yet, I would've done the same." He explains. I like him already. "Anyway to official business I have your first task assigned already, it's," he ruffles through a file I just now realized he was holding and pulled out an official looking slip.

"Aha! Here we go!" Mr. Malone hands me the paper and I read. I murmur to myself the beginning of the form but man I am lost.

He must have seen my confusion displayed on my face and he takes the paper back.

"It's just saying that your first assignment is Five Seconds of Summer." Mr.Malone cooly says like it's nothing.

OH MA LORD. My stomach is doing flips as he continues. Just great, I should be excited but I'm not! I couldn't be more scared right now.

All the possible things that could go wrong, there's a lot. I should just quit right now let someone else do it.

But it's 5sos we're talking about here! I can't quit maybe we can become besties!

What am I thinking I can't do this! They will think I'm a total freak!

Then I realize Mr. Malone is talking to me about it and I spiral back into control.

"Okay? So you won't be doing a video with them, yet that is, you're just doing an interview that we will put up on their vevo." He pauses when Dahlila whispers something into his ear. "gotta go, um so think up some good questions to ask them the camera crew will be here in thirty so ya bye!" Mr. Malone finishes and follows behind Dahlila.

Well, this is great. Just fantastic.
