Hi! My name is Issa. I am 22 years old originally from the south side of Chicago. I have been singing ever since i was a little girl, grown up in the church and around a very traditional christian family.
I know am an independent artist/singer and have been making my music for about 2 years. My music started to take off in the city, I thank god for that. About a year into my music career i ran into a man named Justus, who is also a rapper and was signed to his label within 6 months! Justus is like a brother to me. We hit it off the day we met, I knew we would make history.
My stylist and my make up artist are the closest friends I have. Imani and Ziyaire. They are so funny and so crazy. They really bring me out of my shell. When i was a kid I didn't really have anybody I could call a friend. Besides my cousins. But they are family so it's not the same.
I guess you can say I'm a daddy's girl at heart. Its just me and my daddy in this world. My mother died when I was 5 years old from a crack overdose. I can't remember her much but from what my Dad tells me she was the woman of his dreams.
Love is such a tricky thing to me. I never can understand it and i fall so easily so i believe its best to just focus on me and my career for a while. If someone comes along then ill give it a try but I'm not searching for anything.
