4-The Guetto

"(Y/N), these are Hanji, Mike and Levi. They will supervise you as well. If you have any doubts feel free to ask them" Suddenly, the girl with funny glasses jumps towards you euphorically.

"Erwin told us you are a shifter. Oh, isn't this glorious? I can't wait to see your abilities! Can I cut a finger of yours and see if it grows back?!" She pulls out a knife. You scarily look at Erwin: 'Save me' you scream internally. He just smirks.

"Um, maybe later? I'm going to have breakfast now so...I need my fingers" you say trying to look reasonable.

"Oh, it's just one...tiny...finger" She gets closer and you start to panic. Why are they letting her do that?!

As soon as she holds your hand strongly you stare confused at the men.

Suddenly, they all burst into laughter.

"(Y/N), you should have seen your face!" Erwin is almost crying.

"Erwin! It's not funny! That..." you suddenly start laughing too "That's not fair! I'm new! You're supposed to be nice!" You almost can't breathe.

"Sorry, (Y/N)" Hanji puts a hand on your shoulder still laughing.

"Don't worry, things will not stay like this" you stare evilly at Erwin "This is war"

"As your superior, (Y/N), I forbid you to 'payback-time' me"

"Oh, we shall see that. You will shit those white pants, Erwin Smith" everyone looks at you surprised. No one dares to talk to Erwin that way. "I mean, Commander Erwin Smith, you are going to shit those white pants"

"I see you in ten minutes. Go have breakfast and get ready. Training starts at 9. Then we'll see who will shit their fancy new white pants" Erwin smirks and goes away. You are about to leave the room when Hanji intercepts you

"So, (Y/N), just a tiny cut on your finger?" she looks at you with puppy eyes.

"NO!" you laugh and leave the room.

Erwin was so mean. He almost made you shit your pants. The training was so intense. In normal circumstances, you should have gone to Training Corps but there was no time to lose. At first you felt so weak but you soon got used to it. You had a goal. And you wanted to accomplish it, there was no time for weakness and surrender.

"You are doing great, (Y/N), you surprise me" Erwin cleans the sweat on his forehead with a towel. "Are you sure you haven't done this before?" You try to avoid the question.

"I am a fast learner" you say cleaning the sweat on your face as well. Erwin walks towards you. You cannot tell if you're blushing or if that's the heat you feel after intense training, but he is getting too close.

"I am proud of you. Not anyone would give up the life you had to join us." He looks at you directly in the eyes. Stunning icy blue eyes that make you freeze.

"Erwin I..." you can't even think properly around him. He makes you feel all confused and defenseless "I'm ready to tell you everything" he slightly opens his eyes wide "Not to brag, but it's something big, I really think you should call the other commanders. Tell them it cannot wait"

"Great um..." he seems very surprised "Thank you. I guess it means a lot to you"

"It does, but I hope it will be helpful"

Out of nowhere Erwin hugs you. He had never done such a thing. Of course, you had always been good friends. He had taken care of you like an older brother. After some seconds you just surrender and hugg him back. It feels so good. It's like your bodies fit perfectly together in that hug. He suddenly takes a step back and clears his throat.

"Sorry, I'm just too excited. Things are slowly working out finally"

You smile at him "I get it. Don't worry. Better not to do this in public or people will start thinking you have a heart, Commander. Plus, you smell." you wink at him.

"Sure" he gently combs his hair with his hands. You look at his shiny blond and perfectly styled hair. He just looks impeccable. Even after all these hours of training."I'm going to arrange the meeting" he starts to walk away and then he looks back at you "(Y/N), thanks again" you smile at him.

It is really hard to stay focused with Erwin around all the time.You can perfectly see the silhouette of his muscles under the wet shirt. Then you get the image of your dad telling you not to get distracted by boys and you sigh.

'I should get inside my room before Hanji comes and asks again to cut my finger' you think as you start walking back to your room.

A Few Hours Later, Erwin's Office (Continuation of first part of "Two Different Girls")

After you have had some shots of what Pixis offers to you, you are ready to speak.

You tell them everything.

You are an Eldian girl who lived in Marleyan territory. You tell them about the confrontation between Marleyans and Eldians.

You lived inside a guetto. The life inside it was like life inside the three walls Maria, Rose and Sina. You didn't like the life there.

Your dad, your biological dad, he wanted to start a rebellion against Marleyans. He managed to gain a lot of supporters. He was caught by Marleyan soldiers before he could accomplish anything.

He was tortured as a punishment. His family was tortured as chastisement. You were tortured to serve the great nation of Marley.

You were injected a weird serum that could make you turn into a titan.

Marleyans used your power as a weapon for military purposes. They kept using you for months. But you never liked that. At first you subjugated yourself to their orders but then you got tired.

Things got out of hand. You started to take a stand against Marleyan soldiers. You didn't obey them.

They decided you were no longer useful for them.

They abandoned you in an island full of titans and Eldians to get eaten by the former or to devour the latter.

You wouldn't do that. You would help Eldians inside Paradis Island and help them walk towards their freedom. Because they were also trapped and oppressed. Because Paradis Island was just another guetto. 

And Marleyans had committed the terrible mistake of giving you power.

"Pixis...I need a drink too" Erwin says.

"We all need it" said Darius "I wasn't ready for this. There is a lot to process"

AN: Hey guys! So, now we know everyting about (Y/N)'s past. From now on things are going to go a little faster. I just needed some time to create the setting for our story. By the way, I try to be as faithful as I can to the original works but I really think that Mike doesn't deserve to die so I'm just going to keep him alive if that's okay with you.
