Alison's POV
It's been a month since I wrote those essays and three weeks since I was accepted. Today was my first day on campus. Tomorrow was my first day of classes and I was both nervous and excited at the same.
I decided I should walk around campus to get acquainted with it. It's so beautiful here. It's a good thing I remembered to bring my notebook and pencil on my little tour. I wanted to find something cool to draw. As I strolled past one of the dorms, I find an old bench that would look kind of cool in a drawing. I pick a spot on the grass and lay down facing the bench.
After about an hour I declare that the picture is finished. As I get up from the grass to gather my stuff I spot someone who looks familiar. But I don't know who it is. I don't approach the person, though.
My stomach begins to growl. I decide to go to a local pizzeria that is only a block off campus. When I get in the door the aroma of pizza instantly fills my nose. I love that spell.
After I order a slice of pepperoni pizza I find a table in the corner of the room by the door. I look around observing the restaurant. To my right I see two girls. I can't see their faces but I can her them.
"I love you Em" One of them says
"I love you too Nat." The other says back. In a familiar voice.
Then it clicks. Em as in Emily as in Emily Fields. I should go say hi. Just when I'm about to get up one of the waitresses puts my pizza on the table. Saying hi will have to wait.
Eventually the two girls get up from where they are sitting to leave. On their way to the door Emily spots me. She looks so much more beautiful than I remember her being. She is wearing a white and black striped shirt with a denim vest and jeans. Her hair is pulled to the side in a messy side braid. She looks really good.
"Ali?" She asks me.
"Yeah. Em?" I smile at her.
"Oh my god Ali!" She hugs me "I've missed you. We haven't talked. I thought you were at Stanford. Why are you here?"
I hug her back. "I've missed you too. I was, but I transferred." I shrug. "I didn't want to be a lawyer anymore."
"Well I'm happy you're here" I hear the person that is with Emily clear her throat. "Oh my god, how could I be so stupid." She pulls the girl forward. "Alison, this is Natalie, my girlfr- fiancé" Emily blushes. "Nat, this is my friend from high school, Alison."
Did she just say fiancé? I stare at the big ring on her finger. I fake smile and reach my hand out. "Nice to meet you." She grabs my hand and shakes it. I get a bad feeling when she touches me.
"Likewise." She says.
"We've got to get going but we should catch up sometime, Ali. You have my number."
"Yes we should." I reply with a genuine smile. "She you soon. Bye."
"Bye." She walks out with her hand in Natalie's. I have a bad feeling about Natalie.
I pay for my pizza and walk outside. It's a cool fall day and there is a soft breeze that I can barely feel, but it gives me the chills anyway.

Emily's POV
"How come you've never told me about Alison?" She seems a little angry.
"Alison was part of my high school years. Those years of my life are something I don't like to talk about. They were very painful and stressful and I really don't like to go down memory lane."
She doesn't look convinced but she still nods. All the way back to my dorm we are silent.
I can't wait to catch up with Ali. I've missed her and the other girls, but mostly Alison.
